chapter four 💬

Imani's pov

I woke up to the loud noise of the boys yelling and playing loud music. "The nerve" I harshly whispered. Running my freshly done nails into my bun. I rolled my eyes wiping the sleep from my eyes and licking my lips.

I walked to the source of the noise. I opened the door abruptly. All three brothers looked at me. "Y'all to loud. A girl can't sleep in here. I'm tired of the noise. I need my beauty- what?" I said as they all stared at me. Well not me by body. Well basically me.

"God damn" LaMelo said sucking a breath through his braces. Liangelo cleared his throat. I walked to their full body mirror. I had underwear on and a crop top. I turned around to the brothers and they looked away whistling. But I know damn well LaMelo couldn't whistle.

I was comfortable with my body so I didn't care. I was a model after I stopped playing basketball when my dear left when I was fourteen. I'm probably rusty. But anyways I squeezed between lonzo and liangelo laying on my stomach. "So what y'all doing" I said looking at the tv screen. "Oh- were um- were- shit I'm going to bathroom" LaMelo said bolting to the bathroom. "Damn the youngin is growing" lonzo said laughing.

"Y'all wanna spy on him" we nodded quietly going to the bathroom. I covered my mouth because what I heard I was trying not to laugh. "Fuck...Imani..." Lamelo moaned in the bathroom.

My eyes widened. Liangelo nudged me wiggling his eyebrows. I put the middle finger up. "Shit..I'm gonna cum.. oh fuckkkkkk" I heard LaMelo groan. But no funny shit, his voice turned me on, but I didn't let anyone know as I stood with my legs crossed over the other. Lonzo widened his eyes at me. We ran going back to the room. Shortly after LaMelo came in flustered. He slid down by the door and just laid there. Lonzo, gelo , and i looked at eachother.

"Uhhh fucking imanii" said zo playfully. I punched him and LaMelo looked up blushing. I hid my head in my arms. "Oh brother" I said. "Oh nah I think Mani wet for Melo" liangelo said pointing at me underwear. I used a pillow to cover myself. "Nah I'm not, you know what I'm going to get dressed".

I went back in their room. "Hmm I liked the other outfit better" gelo said. "Perv" I said. Gelo pushed me. I fell on someone's lap. It was LaMelo. We looked at eachother. And he smirked. "I know why your mad" he said. I raised my eyebrows. "Really?" He nodded.

"Come with me" I followed him to his room. He opened a drawer and took out a box. "There!" He said pointing. "What?" I said.

"In that box is a picture of someone that you hate " he said. I opened the box to see a girl that I hoped I would never see again. She was a model like brunette by the name of Eliana. "Ugh" I said throwing her picture in the box.

"Exactly, there was a picnic that day and I was suppose to with you. I stood you up just to be with her and I lost my virginity to her and whatever. You stayed in the rain waiting for me. When I did come I wasn't alone. I had Eliana around my arm. That infuriated you didn't it. But I'm so sorry. She used me and I was 14 and dumb. Then after that day your father left and your mother stopped caring and the other day I used that against you when you needed me the most that day. I'm so sorry" LaMelo said.

He was right, that was the reason I hated him.

"Lamelo I forgive you. I really do. But it's complicated" I said looking at his room. "How complicated can it be Mani" he said showing me pictures we took at age four.

I was grinning while LaMelo and I held a basketball. Another with us at Six flags playing the games. I fished in my pocket taking out a keychain with a gold surface. Engraved in it was the word happiness in cursive. This was the keychain LaMelo had won for me and I kept it.

"Only my friends call me Mani" I said throwing him the keychain as I walked in my room to text Chloe.

Manibby😇👅- LaMelo apologized to me today. Gelo's bet is over he a clown 🙅

Chlobear 🐻❤- I knew you and gelo won't last . He just ok extra bro. But what Melo said?

Chlobear 🐻❤- damn.. well I'm coming down early. I'll be at the house in like 20 minutes tops. Where ya brotherr?

I shut my phone off. There was nothing else to say to Chloe as I looked in the mirror. My green eyes where masked with sadness. I was empty and the person who could fill my emptyness es being pushed away by me.

I sighed slidding on some Gladiator sandals putting my fresh pedicure on display. I grabbed my sling bag and went down the stairs brushing my denim overalls as I walked.

"Imani someone is here for you" I heard tina say. "Coming!" I yelled rushing down the stairs as I saw Chloe I ran up to her and jumped to her. "Hey girly" she said carrying me. "I missed you" I said. She put me down making me feel short as she was a little taller than me. "Damn acting like y'all never seen eachother before" said gelo strolling to the television. I stuck my tongue out at him and he returned the favor.

"Now gelo shut up and watch the tv" said Lavar loudly as he played chess with Lonzo. So knitted his eyebrows in confusion. I walked up to him . I rubbed his shoulders and whispered "move that piece up" . He looked at me and did so and he won.

"Boy!!!! You doing sum right" said lavar

I laughed going to Chloe. "JESUS" she yelled at her mom on the phone and then ended it. "My mom having her boyfriend over. I'm sorry Mani. I gotta go. Maybe we can go to the mall tommorow or -"

"It's ok, plus tommorow I have a photoshoot, but it's good to see. See you in school tommorow" I said hugging her as she left.

I dropped my purse on a rack and dragged myself up the stairs. I sighed sprawling on the bed. There was a knock. "Come in" I said clutching to my bags as I packed them. "Hey.." I heard LaMelo say as he plopped down beside me.

"Hey" I said stuffing my bags. As I put something in he took it out. "What?" I said. "My mom told me to tell you that your mom said she is going on a business trip for a month to study Japanese culture. So you will be staying with us" he said faintly.

"She always excluding Me. Maybe I wanted to go to Japan to" I sighed throwing the bag down. I took off my sandals.

"What do you want" I said looking up at him. "Nothing" he breathed. I nodded taking my phone and scrolling through the gram.

One mintue I'm on my phone the next my phone is pulled from my hand. "What the-" I was interrupted by LaMelo's lips on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I thought about the keychain I had given him back. It said happiness, eevn though it took me a long time to realize, LaMelo was my happiness.

I sucked in a breath as he nipped at the sensitive skin on my neck. "Be quiet" he whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. In one swift motion I was straddling him as we kissed passionately letting all our frustration and anger out.

I pulled away and bit his bottom lip slightly. "I-" he began ."don't say anything, enjoy this". I said laying on his chest and putting his hands on my butt. He nodded smiling and then we just laid there. Appreciating eachother's presence...
