Note: This is not yet the second part of And Then She Disappeared but it keeps on bothering me to write it already so I caved in. I've already started this a while ago but I just finished this now. I'm sorry. There's just been a lot going on these past few weeks so I just had to sort that out and deal with them. But mostly, I was just lazy. Lol. Hope I can get back to writing now. Anyway, here it is.

MIKA

I grabbed my phone from the dashboard after parking my car. Hmm. No texts or missed calls from her. I chewed on my bottom lip while I began shooting her a text.

"Good luck on your game Daks! Yung tuhod mo ha. Bawal ang injury!! I'll be cheering for you as always. I'm already proud of you 😘🤗"

After sending that, I immediately texted Kuya Jun asking him where he is. I was already parked outside of the gymnasium where the game will take place. I scanned the area. People were already milling outside, most of them are students based on the ID lanyards that they were wearing. My attention shifted when my phone pinged indicating that I received a text message.

"Aww," I can't help but to gush when I saw it. Ara just replied with a sad emoji.

I told her I was not coming because I have a shoot for a magazine cover today which was true. But I requested the crew if we could schedule it earlier and they agreed. After, I immediately drove to Pampanga. So now, I was here outside of the gym hoping to surprise Ara. She was invited by AUF to play for the women team in a basketball charity game. The fundraising activity was one of the highlights for their foundation week. I only told Kuya Jun that I will be coming and asked him to not tell Ara. I'm just waiting for him here in my car so that I have a company going inside.

I'm still staring at her reply. I'm already imagining her eyebrows scrunching up and her lips pouting. Argh. Who could resist her? I dialed her number and waited for her to pick it up which she did after a couple of rings.

I was greeted with silence but I knew that she's listening. "Hi. Hindi pa nagsisimula ang game?" I cringed inwardly. I sounded so stupid. Of course it still hasn't started yet, how could she pick up her phone if the game was already starting?

"Hmm" she softly replied.

Oh snap. She's mad. Or probably hurt. Or both. I silently groaned. Remind me again why I decided to surprise her? "Okay... I just want to hear your voice," a sigh escaped from my lips, "and I want to wish you good luck... I love you," I softly added. For a moment I forgot I was pretending and I just want to blurt out that I was already outside of the venue and she should pick me up.

Ara sighed on the other line. "I love you too..." she gently replied. Kainis. Bakit ang cute niya magtampo. She probably was pouting while saying that. I just want to run to her and hug her and squeeze her. "Are you done with your shoot?"

"Not yet. We took a break muna. Baka mag-extend pa kami, medyo may delay lang kanina."

"Hmm. Okay... I'm sorry for being mad at you. I should understand that you have other things to do. I'm sorry Daks," she said.

It was my turn to pout. "No. Ako talaga dapat ang mag-sorry. I'm a lousy girlfriend. I should be there right now."

"Yeah. You should be here. Punta ka na dito please." Wow at nag-agree pa talaga.

"Yes, boss. Punta na ako dyan, right away. Tada, I'm already outside," I chortled.

I was rewarded when I heard her soft laughter but she then sighed again. "I really wish you're here. Well, you should go back na to your shoot. As much as I want to talk to you, magre-ready na rin kami."
