Author's notes: Welcome back Ladies and Gentlemen. The night is yours once more. Shall we see what fate has planned?

In a heartbeat you changed, coming to a full stop your face wearing a look of shock and disbelief as you turn towards Ozpin.

(Y/N): "Sir?! What do you mean Vampire?!
Ozpin: "It's not everyday that someone who isn't a student or staff can get on campus especially at this hour seeing as all the forms of transportation are not available this late at night."
(Y/N): "I'm offended that you would even suggest such a thing sir! Me?! A vampire?!"
Ozpin: " It would be wise to mind your tone with me."
(Y/N): "I'm sorry sir, but if there's a way for me to prove to you I'm not a vampire I'll gladly do it."

He looks at you more seriously and you bring yourself to match his gaze with your own doing your upmost to convey sincerity and determination to him.

Ozpin: "What is your name?"

Caught off guard you reply after a brief pause.

(Y/N): "Y/N Richardson sir."
Ozpin: "You swear upon your life you had no intentions to harm anyone here?"
(Y/N): "Yes sir."
Ozpin: "The words please."
(Y/N): "I swear upon my life I have no intentions of harming anyone here."

He smiles seemingly pleased with the result.

Ozpin: "Alright, well Y/N I believe you now."
(Y/N): "You do?"
Ozpin: "Vampires, although they are masters of deception are ironically known for when they swear upon something their blood will burn them to ashes if they have lied while making it. If you had been a vampire you would be ash by now seeing as Miss Rose was harmed earlier."
(Y/N): "That makes a lot of sense."

You nod slowly as if this was something you never considered or knew.

Ozpin: "Taking that into account, you seem like an intelligent and kind young man so I'd like for you to take part in our vampire hunting classes here at Beacon."
(Y/N): "Vampire hunting?"
Ozpin: "Yes, unfortunately, the Vampires have been more active in recent years and with so many of our huntsmen dedicated to our current Grimm threats we have had to increase the number of students who are either cross trained or primarily trained to deal with the increasing threat."

You nod again in understanding, although now you feel weary of what the others must be doing to attract this kind of attention to themselves.

Ozpin: "Also, considering the events of tonight I can think of no better way for you to prove yourself than in this regard."

So that was what he wanted. For a mortal this was clever thinking on his part to force you to either play the role or reveal yourself in an opportunity that wouldn't be favorable to you. Caught between a rock and a hard place you believe it's better to just play along for now.

(Y/N): "I'd be honored for the opportunity sir."
Ozpin: "Good. Then much like the creatures of the night themselves your classes will be held in the evening to better accommodate your body to hunting them during their peak hours."

Well that's oddly convenient. It makes sense, but it also makes you even more weary of the possibility of a trap. Seeing your troubled face he seems to mistake the look as his next words snap you back to reality.

Ozpin: "You have nothing to worry about Y/N. I believe your body will change accordingly and you'll have no difficulty after getting used to the change in sleep schedule."

You fake a smile and cheery disposition to the younger man and nod encouragingly.

(Y/N): "Thank you sir, I promise to do my best!"
Ozpin: "I know you will. Now I will take you to your new dorm room and we will further discuss things at a later time."
