"Long live the car crash hearts"

Late.
She was late.
It was her first day and she was late.
In a hurry she ran to her car and fired it up.
She was reckless.
Just barely missing the car that sped towards hers.
Stopping at a stop sign she took a deep breath.
She closed her eyes and breathed.
She was late.
She didn't look before she turned.
She sighed closing her eyes for a split second.
As short as a split second is,it was too long.
Everything went black and the ringing in her ears; violent.
When the ringing subsided the only thing heard was the line of a song that echoed in her head as she slipped into eternal darkness.
