3RD Person: Bill Denbrough was there, on his knees, clutching the yellow RainCoat, it was the end, but it didn't bring any pleasure like he had been hoping. There was no damsel in distress, and Bill wouldn't be saving his brother, no, for this wasn't one of those stories, there would not be any happy ending, soon they would go their separate ways, all having to live after their confrontation with the Devil itself. But it wasn't up for debate who had gotten it the worst, it was Bill, he lost his brother, had to deal with it for several months, would have to deal with the tormenting of George's killer, then to see Georgie, arm torn from his body, helpless, but it was all a trick, designed to break Bill, well, in a sense it had worked. Bill stayed there, idle, heart broken, he felt lied to, lied to that those movies promised him an ending he never got, an ending Georgie never got. Richie, Eddie, Ben, Mike and Beverly looked down, in pity, no matter how much of an ass Bill may have made himself seem like, he no doubt did not deserve this, no one did. Richie was the first to say something, in a low whisper, he said "Bill... I'm so sorry". But Bill had not heard him, Bill was reliving memories, the ones, he knew would haunt him, memories of him being unkind to Georgie, calling him a pest, the time he said "mom and dad would be better off without you, you know!" My, oh my how it all flipped. Bill always apologized to Georgie afterwards, saying that it was all a spur of the moment thing, and that he never meant it. Now it was Eddie, he walked up, but right as he put his hand on Bill's shoulder, Bill tensed up. Eddie was scared to say anything, so he didn't, Bill then stood up, RainCoat in hand, and he began walking out, right past the Losers with no words, he couldn't say anything, he was trying to force a release from the past, because he knew it would only guilt him even more. Bill was wheezing at this point, trying to keep everything in his head together. Bill seemed to be walking aimlessly, not knowing what led out and what led him to the same old place. No one turned him around, out of fear of both, seeing what his face, filled with hurt, and because it was clear he needed time to stabilize himself. After what seemed like an eternity of silence, other than the water rolling down the pipes, they saw the sun shine. And they walked towards it, finally rid of that place and the horrid things contained inside of it. They arrived where they started the journey, at the sewers next to that lake, where they found Ben, beat up by Henry Bowers, who was now likely dead. There were so many questions, and there were no answers, they were back at square one, once again. But they were, even if for a short time, glad, glad there would be no more Georgies, no more Losers Club, that, that thing, whatever it was, Earthly or not, was dead, even if for a time of hibernation, there was time, time for them to bury their dead, in a proper way, in a way that was deserved, though they wish they didn't have to. As they emerged from the tunnels, Bill collapsed onto the sand, in the water, unable to walk, he had done it for so long, and nothing made sense at the end of the journey, where did PennyWise go? Would he be back? Who would take their place? It had to be him, them, no one else could do this, only they could finish IT off. Bill turned to the Losers, and what they saw scared them. It was Bill, but in a way they never thought they'd see him like. He looked like he had come back from a war zone, his cheeks were red, and very puffy, he looked broken, but he tried to hide it. He whispered "we h-h-have to pro-promise". Then Eddie asked "promise what Bill?" "Promise t-that if I-I-It comes b-back... W-we do t-too" It was silent, no one wanted to promise, they knew what it was, it wasn't a "yeah maybe" it was a "no matter what I'll do what you say". You couldn't break a promise, especially with a friend, because a friend was a person you'd do anything for, including fighting demons, seemingly from the depths of hell. Richie smiled and put his hand on Bill's then whispered "I promise Bill, I do" Beverly did the same stating "nothing messes with the Losers and gets away with it" Eddie did the same "it wouldn't feel right chickening out now, count me in". Mike put his hand on top of theirs and whispered "anything to rid this world of that hellish thing". Then there was Ben, Ben put his hand on top, the last one, and he said "we're the Losers damn it! We did it once and we can do it again!". And Bill smiled he felt like he was no longer alone, that he would get some closure if there was a next time, hell, everything else went 'worst case scenario' shitty, so there was a strong chance it would happen again. And one by one they left, all that was left was a very silent Richie. There was nothing left to say, but it felt wrong to leave him there. Richie looked at Bill and took his hand, Bill was alarmed, convinced IT had come back for him, but it was old four eyes Richie. He got a little red but pushed that aside and asked "what are you doing?" Richie smiled and said "I'm not leaving you here alone, come on Billy Boy". And even though Georgie had called him that, and he would usually lash out, ever since Georgie went missing, Bill smiled. "Alrighty then Richie Rich". And Richie walked Bill all the way home. When they arrived they both dreaded it, leaving the safety of one another, for the coldness of their homes, empty, waiting for them. Bill knew he was going to cry if he kept on thinking about the departure. When he looked up the actions that preceded his surprised him. Richie Tozier, a fellow Loser, kissed him, on his cheek, and even though Bill thought that it was his first time, it seemed like he was the official master, it was perfect, not wet, not sloppy, not disgusting, it was short, sweet, and Bill wanted more. But Richie spoke, "I love you Bill, please, be safe, be careful, and please, please, don't do anything an idiot would do, for me Bill, please, please promise me that". Bill smiled, then whispered "I promise Richie, I promise".
Then, Richie smiled and kissed him, short and sweet, on the lips, and left before Bill could say any more.
