I was running through the forest fast, being chased by a bear. When I stopped I turned quickly and looked behind me, the bear was running away. I was thinking why? Then I looked behind me, to my surprise, it was my friend Alec. We started talking about our day, as we talked we started walking to our house. Alec was an orphan; his parents got killed in a car crash. My name is Piper but everyone calls me Pip. Alec and I like to hunt in the woods a lot. Where we live hunting is illegal but we do it anyway. My family’s poor so we need food that’s why we hunt.
When we walk inside I smell a fragrant aroma. I walk over to mum and ask, “What’s cooking?”
“Beef stew,” says mum, “I got payed a lot today.”
“Yay” I say.
Alec walks over to us and says “I’m going out to meet some friends”.
“Be back by six” said mum.
“Take a coat, its cold” I say as I walk outside to give him the coat. I see a freezing fog. “It’s so cold why are you going to see some friends anyway?”
“Because I can, got it Pip!” Alec said
“Ok, fine,” I say as I throw the coat to him. I go back inside and go to my room. Siting on my bed is my sister with her bright twinkling eyes and nice clothes. Her name is Zoey, “get out of my room Zoey”
“No I don’t want to,” she replies
“Go to your own room this is mine so GET OUT” I say
“Fine, I’ll go to my room”. One hour later mum calls us for dinner so I picked up my phone and called Alec to tell him it’s time for dinner. In ten minutes he’s back home “so where wear you” I say
“At a friend’s house” Alec said
“Ok now eat dinner”
