Midoriya went to the canteen for dinner after that. Kirishima had gone to meet Kaminari, so he was alone until he bumped into Uraraka.
"Hey, Midoriya-kun! How was your first day in college?" She said, following the male to a table to sit down.
"It was pretty good. I was introduced to lots of people and I've memorised the names of most of my classmates," Midoriya laughed. Uraraka poked at her food. He was shocked by how small her portion was.
"Uraraka kun!! Is that all you're going to eat?!" The green haires boy pointed to the meagre meal of a small dish of vegetables, a sandwich and a bowl of soup.
"Ah, yes, my family isnt the very well off and I don't have much money with me, so somedays I eat a little less to save money," Uraraka confessed. "Anyway! I'm going to study hard in this school to get a really good job, so I can let my parents live a better life," She punched the air and nearly knocked over her cup of juice.
Wow. I really am lucky....
"I really hope that happens. Still! You have to eat proper meals! Here, you can share some of my food," Midoriya offered. He forgot that she nearly lights up when she's happy and was hit by the light from the beam of a grateful Uraraka.
After eating and some chitchat, Midoriya got up to return his plate. As he was walking to the tray return corner, someone stepped in front of him causing him to almost drop his tray.
"H-hey! Please watch wher--"
"Get out of my way, Deku!!" A harsh voice snarled.
Midoriya yelped in surprise when he realised it was Bakugo. "K-kacchan!" The taller boy shoved him to the side as he strode away. "I know we have three classes together, Deku. So don't talk to me till then. I'll kill you!" The blond growled, walking in the direction of the dorms.
Startled by his childhood friend's hostillity, Midoriya returned his tray without a word and went back to Uraraka.
"Who's that? And he calls you Deku? Why?"
Midoriya explained their rocky relationship and why he was called Deku. "Its kind of of an insult, though..."
"Hey, I think it sounds cute! It also sounds like the japanese words for 'you can do it'!" She chirped. "Hey, can I call you 'Deku-kun'??"
"S-sure!"

It was almost 10 at night. Tokoyami and Midoriya were supposed to get ready to sleep. But they didn't know if there was a procedure or anything so they simply took a shower, changed and brushed their teeth.
Tokoyami said he found it odd that Midoriya slept with a tiny nightlight shaped like a bunny. The green haired boy couldn't exactly answer and ended up as a stuttering mess but his roommate accepted it anyway.
"We all have our a little bit of our childishness left in us even when we grow up," Tokoyami said, pointing at a small crow plushie on his own bed.
Midoriya joked that it was such a quotable line as they got into their beds. The bird guy closed his eyes. "Perhaps. A lot of people say I seem very 'edgy', whatever that might mean. Good night, Midoriya."
"Good night, Tokoyami-kun."
Midoriya turned the lights off and all he could see was the top of his shelf and bed, which was illuminated in a turquoise glow by his nightlight, as well as the soft purple glow from a decorative crystal ball on his bedside table which cast the side of Tokoyami's feathered face in an almost eerie light.
The freckled boy giggled. He really was an edgelord.
As he heard Tokoyami shift in his sheets, Midoriya flopped down on his own bed, he closed his eyes and sleep consumed him immediately.

"Midoriya. Midoriya, wake up," a deep voice said.
The green-haired boy groaned and turned on his side as who he assumed was his roommate shook him awake. He didn't want to get up because the bed seemed like the best heckin place in the world right now.
"I wanna sleep in... it's a free day after all..." he mumbled. Tokoyami just shook him harder so he opened his eyes a little.
"Come on, didn't you say you wanted to get up early?" Tokoyami said. He dragged Midoriya out of his bed and pushed him into bathroom. "Here are some non-pajama clothes. Wash you face and change," he instructed and shut the door.
The sleepy male muttered something about flying houses since he was still in a half-unconscious dream state and did as he was told, be it sloppily. When he came out, Tokoyami told him he had worn his shirt backwards, and his hair was a complete mess.
After having breakfast, they decided to spend the morning exploring the campus.
They found a broom closet which had nothing but mops in it and that a chair in the auditorium makes a noise similar to a dying weasel when you sit on it; they found the teacher lounge and said hello to Mr Aizawa and Mr Thirteen. They then spent a good hour at the library. Every once and awhile, they ran into someone they knew as many people were wandering around the campus like them; Tokoyami introduced his classmates Sato and Shoji to Midoriya.
By the time they had explored all of the main building, it was already 7 pm. Time for the party.
The pair went to the recreational block, which was a fairly sized one-storey building. Kirishima had rented a room out for an evening. Midoriya knocked on the door to be greeted by a certain red head with a strand of confetti resting on his head.
"Hhhhwelcome, guys! Don't worry, you haven't missed anything sick yet. Come on in and let loose!!!"
