Prologue
"Dani, look may letter na dumating para sakin, puntahan na natin, please?" She was asking me to go, but, she knows na I'll never go with her, I just sipped on my iced coffee and rolled my eyes.
"Why, give me a good reason, as in yung convincing, why should I go with you?" I asked her. "Because, because I feel he's worth it, and two years na kaming penpals, so why not try, right?" She was smiling from ear to ear, kung hindi ko lang 'to kaibigan, I'll leave her.
"Fine then, Shany, but once na sinabi kong umuwi na tayo, we'll go." This is my first time to accompany her, and it is just so annoying na magiging third wheel pa ako!
"Omg, I so love you, Danes, I love you, thanks!" She said while hugging me.
But, why does it feel so weird? Parang hindi makatotohan. "OMG, Danes, may nakatago palang name ng resto kung saan kami magmimeet!" Sigaw siya ng sigaw. Nakakahiya nasa hallway palang kami ng school. "Okay, fine, we'll go. Basta shut up na, okay?"
I can't handle it anymore, paano nalang pag na out of place ako dun? Pilit ko talaga siyang kukuliting umuwi.
"Excited ako, Danes. Paano kaya yun. Will it turn out good, or not?" She asked, and I just shrugged.
"Don't go to the resto, or else, you'll meet death." A man exactly at our age said while walking. "Girl, narinig mo ba yun?" Shany asked me. I felt the chills. Why does it feel like may mangyayari mamaya?
We were driving towards the resto and Shany couldn't keep her focus. "What is totoo yung sinabi nung guy?"
"That can't be true, duh, ano siya fortune teller? Tsk. Kaya ka niloloko bilis mo maniwala e." I said that even though I'm scared, even though half of me tells that it's the truth.
