Crush or Love?

Chapter 5

The winner was ...

V – "Guys the winner is Alayna. Well done Maik..."

Everyone started cheering and hugging me. The bell rang soon after and everyone left except Maik, Aidan and I. Maik wasn't supposed to be staying but he kept looking at me. I walked over to him.

A – "What are you still doing here?"

M – "I'm waiting for you what else?"

V – "Alayna should we start"

M – "Start what?"

A – "We are going to represent the school in a competition"

V – "And we need to rehearse so please leave"

M – "Can't I watch?"

V – "No you can't sorry."

M – "Bye Alayna"

A – "Bye"

Maikleft the classroom angrily as if there was something wrong. We startedchoreographing another new dance for the competition which was with the themePower. We weren't sure what power meant. Woman power, hero power or power tobecome something. In 30minutes we choreographed the whole dance.     

We had around 30 minutes left so we went to the park again. When we arrived there it started raining. Close by there was a small telephone box. We got in but we couldn't really move since it was a small place. I felt someone staring at me and so I tilted my head higher. Aidan was looking at me and when he saw me look up he smiled. He leaned down while staring into my eyes and he kissed me passionately. I kissed him. The world around us disappeared in an instant. It was only us in the world. We were interrupted by a knock on the telephone box door. We pulled away out of breath and looked at the glass door. It was Maik.

We opened the door and walked out. It wasn't raining as much anymore. Maik was giving Aidan a death glare. Maik pushed Aidan against the telephone box.

M - "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?"

V - "Maik chill I did nothing to her. Ask her yourself." With that he turned towards me.

A - "Maik calm down. He didn't do anything I promise you."

M - "Then what was that kiss"

A - "It was nothing. We need to strengthen our bond for the competition. And anyways we will be kissing during one of the dances."

M - "YOU WHAT?"

V - "Do you want our school to win?"

M - "Yea obviously I do"

V - "Then shut up about the kiss and about everything so we surprise the judges and the audience. Then we might win. Ok?"

M - "Ok ok"

A - "Ok now let's go to the studio again and go through the dances again"

The three of us walked back while buying some food on the way. It was an awkward silence which I mostly hated. Maik stayed to watch the dances. He was the only exception to this now, since it could cost us a competition. So far we had 2 dances ready.

The bell rang signalling my last 2 classes photography. I quickly changed and ran to class with Maik behind me. I didn't know what he had for 2nd option so I didn't care much. I was late.

T – "Alayna meet me after class please"

A – "Yes miss. Sorry" I looked down and headed to my seat embarrassed. Maik walked in behind me and she told him the same thing. That meant that he was in the same classes as me in every subject. Next to where I sat there were no empty seats so Maik had to sit somewhere else.

Class soon ended and Maik and I had to stay behind so the teacher talked to us about being late.
