"Who sings horribly to a lady on their first date?" Becca asked I I just Couldn't stop laughing.
She went on a date with this guy chase, that's his name. He has been heads high for Becca ever since high school and no matter how much she has turned him down, he doesn't seem to get the message.
Becca decided to give him a big shot, and according to her, he threw it away. I am a hundred percent and one sure that dies guy sang well, but Becca wouldn't admit that -never. Well personally I think that chase is cute, but like I said earlier, Becca wouldn't admit it -ever. I also think that the chase guy should move on, because she definitely doesn't seem to be giving in any time soon.

"Can you quit laughing, it's not funny at all, I really don't like that chase guy and worse of all...he is white. What do white guys have for black girls this days?" Becca questioned and looked at me in the eye
"What?" She didn't say anything rather than stare at me like she was waiting for an answer, and I didn't have one to give her

"I don't have any white guy disturbing me, you are all on your own Becca, plus, chase has been disturbing you for no more than five years now" she was still placing her stern look on me
""WHAT!" I yelled this time
" you know you have many white guy suitors, so don't sit down there and mock me like am on my own" Becca said at last
"I don't have any white guy suitor Becca, and, you are on your own" and Becca pounced on me.

"You evil witch of the East" she said and pulled at my hair. " how dare you say I am on my own" she grunted and got on top of me beating me. This is how it has always been since I remember, and not even up till now has she stopped. She doesn't even count the fact that I have a child to stop beating me.
"We are together Becca, I promise" that's all I have to do say to get her off me, and it totally worked.

"So when are you two getting married?" Becca questioned and I swear that took me off guard.
"What is wrong with you Becca, be in my world for once and stop thinking about me getting married any time soon" I sighed and sat up on the bed. I was totally frustrated with everybody telling me to get married, I wasn't ready, don't they get it?
"Okay am sorry about that, but I would not be sorry about this one. When are you going to loosen up and at least have a one night stand?" I Squinted my eyes at her "What? You obviously need sex Mitchy and am not gonna lie about that"

That made me laugh and I don't know why. I mean, I should be offended that my best friend is telling me to have sex with a random person after I had just finished telling her that I don't even want to get married.
"You really need it, you should get laid at least once, it's been five years since you last had one, and that one you didn't enjoy.
Becca could really be open minded at times and it could be very annoying, but I was used to it already, I mean this girl has been my best friend since forever.

"That reminds me" I said shrugging the topic off "Blake Invited me to a party, he said someone special was celebrating her birthday" Becca was already smiling and giving me a look I knew too well now. The look that says am gonna make sure you look sexy.
"But I really don't want to go" I blurted out and her smile fell to her feet, the 'look' disappeared
"You are joking right"
"No am not, I just don't have a good feeling about it I feel something terrible is going to take place" I said and began arranging the bed back.
" nothing terrible is going to take place, the only things that can probably happen Is either Blake proposes to you or you find your true love there, simple"
What if am not ready. I couldn't say that out loud or else it will call for another sermon from Becca which I wouldn't end up enjoying. I stayed mute and I think that gave Becca the clue to continue talking.
" well have you gotten your dress ready yet"
"I ha-"
"Shut it, I know you have not so grab your purse we are going shopping" she said and began fixing her hair and make up
"What about Tate, I'll need to pick him up any time soon" I protested but to no avail. Becca dragged me out of the house And shut the door.

"I promise you that you have only two more dresses to try on and from there we would be done with shopping, I have gotten your shoes for you already.
"Noooo!" I yelled from the dressing room of the mall we were in.
Becca has made me try on one thousand clothes already and I was warned out already, and Becca picking my shoes is the worse choice ever, I would most likely be the tallest female in this occasion.
"Why do I have to wear coloured clothes Becca, why can't I wear black?" I questioned for the nth time
"That is because you have to look special for this special person, and everyone would be wearing black like they are mourning, show them you are not one of them" she said and threw a read dress to me, definitely the last one I am trying on tonight.
I immediately slipped into the dress and stepped out feeling tired as hell.
"Oh My God! You are definitely picking this dress" Becca said as she saw me. It was a red dress that went straight to my feet, the back was opened -wait, the back is opened.
"I can't wear this Becca, the back is exposed" I complained and started going back into the dressing room
"Then am not leaving." Oh My God. She is damn serious. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with this dress therefore you are wearing it."
I was about to protest, telling her that am a mother but she had already told the sales lady to pack up the items, but I still told her any way,
"Becca am a mother, I can't be opening my body to the world"
"it's not the world honey, it's just a party, and if you are a single mother you need to be sexy nevertheless, we need to get you laid sooner than later."
That left me speechless.
