Crowns. Royalty. Those two things haunt my nightmares.
Crime in Northlakes has skyrocketed. All because of gang wars. Australia has a dark past. A past that not many people from across the world know about. The Underbelly. It involves drugs, violence, murder and sex-trafficking.
Outsiders may see and know them as regular teenagers, causing mayhem and chaos. But the ones who knew them, really knew them, call them The Royals. People cower at the mere mention of them and I believe it will always be that way. they were once like us, 'normal', but one day something drastically changed. One day they just stopped answering our calls, started staying out all night, breaking the law and eventually getting arrested.
It all started as a game with friends and we would just muck about. We even called ourselves 'The Royals.' Mainly because some boys we had disputes with had taken title of 'The Lost Boys.'
That was before. Before it all had changed and a game turned to a gang. My senior year was filled with brutal chaos.
A/N: I just wanted to let everyone know in advance that I'm well aware that there is a book that features a group of boys known as the Royals. This book has nothing to do with them. This book is actually based on a group of boys in my year known as the royals and their rival group. They aren't a gang or anything but I thought it was quite an interesting story line.
