My life isn't exactly perfect. But I know it's not the worst.
I have a perfect bestfriend, Hazel Pierce. And the most amazing brother in the world, Oliver Scott Sykes, lead vocalist for Bring Me The Horizon.
These two people are the most important people in my life. To most people the parents would be the most important people in their life but I haven't seen my parents since they were put away in prison for several counts of drug and alcohol abuse. This all happened when I was 6 and I am now 16. Until Oli had enough money to move out we had been living with our uncle and aunty. When Oli was stable enough we both moved out of there and we now live together alone.
Well, not really alone. My best friend Hazel Pierce basically lived with us. She had troubles at home with an over-protective mother and a father who gave her no attension at all. Hazel and Oli got along very well which I liked. I like having the two most important people in my life get along with eachother.
I owed so much to both of them. Oli had always been there for me. I was lucky to have a brother like him through all of the crap in my life. He'd always been my shoulder to cry on. I met Hazel when we were living with our aunty and uncle. She lived across the road from us and we've been best friends since day 1.
Without these two I don't know where I would be. I don't think I would be here at all to be honest. Through the years I've struggled with depression and anxiety. If it wasn't for Oli and Hazel to pull me through when life got hard I probably wouldn't be here at all.
With Oli being in a band he was away a few times every few months. So the times Hazel's parents wouldn't let her come over I was left alone. I didn't mind very much though. It was very rare that Hazel wasn't allowed over but the times she wasn't allowed I always had something to keep me occupied. And that something was music.
I spent my time listening to Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice and Men, Bring Me The Horizon, Asking Alexandria, Blood On The Dance Floor, Falling In Reverse, etc. But the one band that meant the most to me was Black Veil Brides.
