my mom (who's a teacher) and i played hookie and skipped school on wednesday to go to the royals game, since it was a day game.
we got there as soon as the gates opened, and a couple players were playing catch and stuff. first, danny duffy, trevor cahill, jake junis, and maybe one other player (i don't remember tbh) were out at first. duffy went back into the dugout to go to the clubhouse, but before he did, he tossed me a ball!! if you read the tag i did, you'd know that duff is one of my faves

if that wasn't good enough, jake junis came over and starting signing some stuff, and the girl in front of me was kind enough to give him my ball & sharpie to sign!

even though they lost, it was still such a good day. i've been to too many games to count, but this one stuck out! it also may be the last time i see this group of guys play together, especially hos, moose, cain, etc. i'm hoping to go to one of their last games this year at kauffman just to see my boys one more time :(
