"To help her with her late night habits, Hajime decides to spend time with Masaki one late Sunday night."
The dormitories of Hope University were the same usual quiet, everyone was either asleep or pretending to. The dormitory house was big, big enough for the 78 and 77th class to live there. It was usual, wake up to chaos➖fall asleep to peace. The place was actually crazier on Saturdays, when Masaki was was working. She was the SHSL DJ, meaning the weekends were filled with late-night shifts and restless nights, but it made good pay.
Coming back to the dormitory house from another shift at the radio station, it was surprising that the place didn't look crazy and it was silent for once. Masaki headed towards the kitchen to satisfy her parched mouth. The cold water flooded into and around in her mouth until she felt relief.
It was one of those days where Masaki would come to her dorm late, lock herself in her room and did homework all night, it was very easy for her to get used to it. Thank god,she didn't have lecture in the mornings. However she was piled with work she didn't even think about until the due date: 2 papers 20,00 words each(History and Science), Math Exam tomorrow, and French Paper at least 50,000 words (still better than a taking a literal exam.).
*Time Skip
It was around 2 in the morning when Masaki was done. She shut down her laptop and dived into her bed, ready for the sheets to envelope her in a sea of sleep. She could her eyes becoming heavy as lead and almost completely closed, until...
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Masaki shot up at the noise, it wasn't a pat nor a bang, but you knew it had to be important.
Knock.Knock.Knock.
She looked at the digital clock that sat on her nightstand.
2:13 AM
It was 2:13 AM and someone as knocking on her door.
After a bit of contemplating, Masaki walked to open the door,in which she meet a pair of familiar olive green eyes.
Hajime Hinata. Hajime Hinata was in front of her, right here, right now in this moment.
She was surprised, however the emotion on her face didn't say so, again she was tired.
Hajime was in the same class as Masaki and the same dormitory house they passed each other occasionally. Both students were very busy with classes, jobs, etc.
Masaki knew you Hajime was ,she just never thought about him that much. As for Hajime,he was very fond of Masaki, she worked a lot, was kind and a very likable person. She did what she could to get earn good grades but to also maintain her talent very well. He was only concerned for her about one thing, he never really saw her take a break before. She was either studying, working at the radio station, or sleeping. He knew that she probably had hobbies during her free time but she rarely showed that.
"Is there something you need?", Masaki broke the silent staring contest that they had. Hajime stood there completely silent trying to find a response, "Uh...yeah, I was gonna ask if you were...okay." Masaki raised her eyebrow in confusion,"About?"
Hajime sweatdropped, realizing his mistake,"Uh..well...", he took a deep breath and regained his composure. "I'm worried about you."
Masaki seemed stunned, her eyes only widened a fraction, to her surprise she thought that there was nothing wrong, she thought that college students were always like this. Late-work shifts. Constant all-nighters. Endless cups of coffee. Partying non-stop.
Her face left traces of puzzled and confused about the question, it bounced around in her head, trying to evaluate itself.
"It's just that, you always come here late and you lock yourself away all night to finish homework. While losing hours of sleep and near working yourself to pursue your talent and become better at it. And I almost never seen you anymore.", Hajime further explained, feeling butterflies starting to flutter in his stomach.
Masaki looked at Hajime in a focused matter, her yellow eyes staring into his olive green ones. She always had that way with people, she could tell their thoughts and feelings through their eyes, I mean they do say eyes are windows to the soul.
After a few moments of silence, Masaki finally responded, "Fine, I suppose I'm overworking myself." She pulled Hajime by his green tie into her dorm room, which was fairly normal compared to the others dorms, with exception of the band posters and other decorations around the place. The bluenette plopped on the bed and opened her laptop which illuminated the the room in a soft glowing white light. She had something to finish that she originally forgot about. When reaching for her pair of headphones, her laptop was shut closed. "I'm not letting you do any other work today, Masaki.",Hajime said taking the laptop out of her hands, placing it on her desk. "But Hajime! Sayaka wanted me to do a remix of her newest song and-",Masaki retorted trying get her laptop back."And Sayaka can wait for that remix, she doesn't control your schedule.",Hajime said crawling under the covers of The DJ's bed.
"Uh...what do you think you're doing?", Masaki said questioning the spiky-haired brunette. "Making sure you are going to sleep.", Hajime said pulling Masaki down next to him. Before pulling the covers over her head, Masaki was pulled into an embrace by Hajime wrapping his arms around her waist and placing his chin on her head. Both sank into the sheets and fell into slumber under the moon.
