I am walking into the entrance of the hospital, carrying a bag of clothes, a pillow and foods. I will be taking care of eomma since my eonnie and appa is working.

I am now outside the elevator waiting. When it opened, I quickly got inside and closed it. When the elevator opened again but now, on the 4th floor, I got outside and went into the room.

"Annyeong, Eomma," I greeted my mother.
"Ah, nae ttal (my daughter) is already here. I've been waiting for you. I got bored earlier so I went outside to get fresh air," she said.
"Ah, jinjja. I told you, Eomma should rest in bed and not go anywhere right?"
"Hmm, araseo, mianhae. By the way, how's your eonnie and appa doing? Are they eating well?" she asked.
"They're okay. Yes they are. They will come tomorrow after their works," I answered.
"Ah, i see."

I arranged my things and sat beside her. Seeing her like this hurts me. I held her hand tight and kissed it. I watch her close her eyes and sleep soundly.

-----

The doctor then came in. I just realized that I had fell asleep.

"Goodafternoon Ra In-ah," the doctor said.
"Goodafternoon Doc. How's the health of my eomma?" I asked.
"She's getting better when I last checked her. I will check her again today to see if she's really improving," he said.
I just nod and waited. After the nurse gave her medicine, they went out and I also followed with the doctor.
"She is really getting better. But she still needs more rest so I suggest that she must stay a few more days until she is fully recovered."
"Kamsahamnida, Doc."

I went back to the room happily. I sat beside her and told her what the doctor had told me. She forms a bright smile on her face and I am really happy to see that.

"Eomma are you hungry? I brought lot of foods. Let's eat," I said.
"Arasso."

While putting out the bag of foods, I have noticed that there's a basket of fruits at the table which is not there earlier. I saw a note and read it.

"Annyeonghaseyo, Ahjumma. Thank you for being a friend while I am at the hospital. I will be leaving today but I promise I will visit you often. I am praying for your fast recovery and hope that I can talk to you soon when you will be discharged. Thank you for being my second mother.
- jjk"

JJK? Who can it be? Ahjumma? A friend? Here at the hospital?

"Eomma, who's jjk?" I asked.
"Ah, he's the boy who I spent time talking with everytime I go outside. He's kind and he goes into your school too."

Ah so she had a friend at the hospital. But he goes into my school? Oh, nevermind.

---
After eating, a nurse entered to give her the medicine she should take after a meal.

"Thank you, nurse," I said.

"By the way Eomma, you mentioned about that JJK is also studying at the same school as me. How is he like? Do I know him or..."I asked.
"Actually, you do know him. Remember Kookie? Your childhood bestfriend?"
"Hmm, wae? Is he that boy?" I asked with my eyes wide open.
"Nae, you're right. He was at the hospital for almost a month. I heard he was in an accident and he lost his memories but it's just only temporary. I saw him two weeks ago and approached him. He doesn't even remember me but I introduced myself to him. I tried asking him if he still remembered us, he answered no. It was sad seeing him like that," she explained.
Oh, so that's why. I felt sad after she explained it to me.

He was my childhood bestfriend. He was my first bestfriend. Back then, people was scared to approach me first because they said that I look like a mean little girl. But Kookie, without hesitating, he approached me and began to be friends with me. He doesn't have any friends too eventhough he is friendly and cheerful. All of his friends bullied him because they thought he was so kind that they can demand him anything they want. He was the first one to make me feel special.

He was the first in almost everything. He was the reason why I am what I am right now. A happy, cheerful and a kind girl.
