Chapter 7

We arrived at Uncle Grady and Aunt Alex’s house. The moment we walked in Uncle Grady hugged us. “How are my girls doing tonight?” He asked.

“Well besides Megan setting her sights on some poor slob, same old, same old.” Monica told him. I punched her arm.

“Monica got drunk last night and table danced” I told him, taking the heat off me.

“I’m going to kill you” Monica said lunging at me. Uncle Grady held her and sent me to find Carter while he had a talk with her about drinking. I stuck my tongue out at her and ran upstairs. Serves her rights, for always tattling making us stay out of trouble.

“You know she’s going to get you back and good.”  Carter tells me.

“Yeah I know but it’s too much fun seeing her mad.” I say and jump on his bed. “So what did you and Blake, do for your Birthday?” I asked him.

“Well since Blake isn’t 21 yet, we had to just hang out with the guys. Plus you know Uncle Luke and Aunt Evelyn still baby him so much. It must really suck being the youngest of us all.” He said and we laughed.

“Hey Alia needs help on a project she wants to start for breast cancer awareness. I told her we would all help but since you and she are the artist of the family. I figured you might help think of something. I’m figuring something with her photo abilities and something with your art might work.”

“I have to think about it. But I’m game, let’s go save Monica from dad and head out for dinner.” So we went to eat and had a good time. When I got home everyone was asleep so I went to bed.

Xavier’s POV

I had a fucking nightmare last night. I woke up this morning feeling angry and tired. I went and washed my face. In my dream this faceless guy laughed at me as he touched Megan. I shook my head to clear it and then went to eat so I could head out to the Boy’s Town.

Once I got there. I saw here in the house without even thinking I walked to her. I was ready to yell at her for daring to go out with someone else. It was then that I saw a guy approach from the back and push her. I saw red then as I was ready to kill him.

But when I opened the door I heard her laughing. They had yet to see me so I waited to see what they said.

“So dad called you to babysit huh?” She asked him.

“Are you kidding cuz, there was no way he would leave you alone out here with a guy. Who is he anyway?” The guy asked her.

“He was in the program with our dad’s, now he’s back to help.” She smiled so brightly like she was proud of me. I felt a flutter in my stomach.
