Lumine x Kody

Chapter 3

Lumine's POV

We went to our next class Kody really hasn't been paying attention much. And what also startled me was that he was completely deep in thought. What could he possibly be thinking about that he couldn't hear or feel anything. The teacher dismissed us early so we could go get lunch and Kody again was in his thoughts. So instead of trying to get his attention I just walked in front of his desk and looked down at him. He immediately flinched like he did in the last class and looked up. " Kody cmon we are going to lunch." He looked confused "Really but it's only like 10:00."

I looked at him this happened a lot so I always had to remember to tell him. But I thought he wouldn't need to be told since today wasn't a real school day. "Kody you forgot! Today is half a day we only have 2 more hours of school." Kody started to scratch his head "Oh." He literally forgot even though it's nothing new to me but it really got frustrating.

      He got up and we started walking to the lunch room I wanted to ask him what he was thinking about but didn't. I was nervous why was I so nervous now whenever I was near Kody, as I was thinking I realized I kept walking ahead. Suddenly I heard Kody yelling my name " LUMINE!!!!! Where are you going lunch room is here!" I turned and  replied nervously "o..oh r..right dozed off t..there" Kody looked at me confused and walked in.

     I ran in after sitting down next to Kody. What was that why was I so nervous around him? Like I'm with him everyday then I think back to what happened during class. I was confused myself on why I stared at him. But the weird part was that I got really embarrassed and kind of turned red. Why? Wondering I looked around for Mimi my friend. (Yes I have friends) I spotted her and looked at Kody. "I'll be right back kody." I said after walking across the cafeteria to Mimi "Hey Lumine." She greeted me "Hey" I replied to her.

She walked to me and looked at me " Hey where's your umm hmm......OH right, where's your boyfriend." I stared at her and thought 'boyfriend' and knew she was talking about Kody. "W.....what?!? K..kody my b..boyfriend noo!! He's not my boyfriend!!" She looked at me confused a little. "O..oh then why are u two always together?" I stared at her Kody told me not to tell anyone I was his bodyguard. I then thought of an excuse to that "We are just good friends." She rolled her eyes in disbelief and continued on "So what did you want." I looked around and spotted a table and pointed to it and we both walked and sat down there. I turned around and spotted Kody was looking at me from across the room. But once he saw me he quickly turned around and I turned back to Mimi. "Ok Mimi I need advice or an explanation for something." She looked at me and slowly nodded her head.

         I sighed and began to tell her everything that happened from what happened in the classroom and from what happened before what happened when we got in the lunchroom. She nodded intently and once I finished her eyes looked liked planets widened to the fullest. She squealed in the highest pitch making my ears fold back and making the whole lunchroom look at us. Including Kody, I immediately covered her mouth sitting her down. She looked at me and stared "Do YOU KNOW what THIS MEANS?!" She said in a loud voice but at least no one looked.

         I shook my head "Obviously I don't because I wouldn't ask you." She nodded her head and shrugged her shoulders as showing my point. She leaned in towards me and started to speak. "It MEANS you LIKE him!!" She yelled in my face I froze. L-i-k-e I like Kody but thought she must mean as a friend right because I'm trying to be his friend I think.  "You mean like umm like a friend like?" I asked and she gave me that idiot look Kody always gives me. "Noo!! Like love like him as in 'he's cute I want to ask him out' like that kind of like."

      I literally stopped I felt my heart pound at the thought. 'I like Kody'
