The Doctor

I saw A&M play patient and doctor earlier and I couldn't help but write a short story about it. Ang dream project ko talaga for them is a sitcom.

"Doc, gising na po ba yung pasyente natin?"

A lady in a white coat replied, "Hindi pa ata."

The doctor and the nurse laughed.

"Gwapo pa naman sana, ano Doc? At may dimples pa."

"Oo nga e. Parang artistahin."

"Doc, hindi pa po ba tayo magsasara? Past 9 pm na po ah?"

"Hinihintay ko sana magising itong isa. Sige, uwi ka na, andyan naman si Manong Guard, bilin mo na lang na mag-isa na lang ako dito"

"Ay hindi na, Doc. Hintayin na kita. Hindi natin alam, baka gwapo nga yan tapos serial killer pala." the female nurse said.

The doctor laughed.

They heard groans from the patient. They walked towards him.

He woke up to a dimly lit place. And to the most beautiful brown eyes he's ever seen. And those luscious lips, all he wants to do is to kiss them.

Namatay na ba ako? He asks himself.

"Doc, baka may amnesia yung patient?"

"Ha? Hindi naman nauntog yung ulo niya."

"Nasaan ako?" the man asked

"Doc, sinasabi ko na, may amnesia nga!"

"Mister Faulkerson, you're in a clinic. You tripped earlier, dyan sa may entrance namin so we helped you. Then you fainted when I showed you the injection for the tetanus shot."

"Oh my! I'm really embarrassed, I'm sorry, Doctor?"

"Mendoza."

"I'm really sorry, Doctor Mendoza."

"Well, to be honest, hindi ikaw ang unang nahimatay at the sight of an injection and hindi rin ikaw ang unang lalake. I'm sorry, Mister Faulkerson that we had to check your wallet earlier for identification. We saw your driver's license, unfortunately we didn't find any name and contact number for emergency."

The man checked himself and saw that he was in a sling. The nurse helped him sit down. "Ano pong nangyari sa akin, Doc?"

"You mean aside from tripping on the pavement? We found a fracture on your left arm, we've placed that arm in a cast. It should heal in 6-8 weeks. And you also have a cut on your right knee, we cleaned it up and stitched it."

The patient smiled. "Buti na lang pala I slipped in front of a clinic. Doc, I have a medicard with me, but I think it won't cover everything." He turned around and was looking for something.

"Sir, eto po ba yung hinahanap niyo?" The nurse handed him his wallet and his phone.

"Ay oo, eto nga." He gets a card from his wallet. "How do I pay?"

"Sir, akin na lang po. I'll process your payment."

The female nurse left.

"Doctor Mendoza, Richard po pala." He extends his right arm to the doctor, the doctor shakes it and says, "Maine"
