Chapter 30 – What does the month December have that other months don't have?

It was five minutes to 12 and we had been playing monopoly for almost two and a half hours and I was losing badly, I would have been bankrupt already if it wasn't for the fact that Izayan was the banker and kept illegally giving me money. 100 here and 100 there but it didn't even matter. Goody was at the back of my mind shaking her head with disappointment.

"Come on Niki, give me Regent Street and I'll allow you to land on them rent free" Aden was groaning at me, I had jokingly brought one street from every sets they had.

"Ummm, I would but I like messing with you so till I'm completely broke I'm keeping them" Aden gave me the death glare along with Brooke as I had taken some of hers, Izayan just laughed at my antics. "fine, fine I'll give them to you"

"Yes!!!" they celebrated too quickly because I always had a plan

"Iffffff," they both looked me dead in the eye "Aden gives me his Christmas present at 12" I giggled

"How do you even know I got you something!" I scoffed

"You, my dear are my bestest friend and you love me, so you have to get me something even it's a freaking personalised pencil..." I thought about it "that would actually be pretty cool"

Aden laughed a hard quick laugh and I turned to look at Izayan who had a sparkle in his beautiful eyes,

"Merry Christmas Kitten" I smiled and melted his tone was so soft, almost loving and it had been so long since I've felt that warmth that hasn't come from Aden. I leaned over and softly kissed his lips,

"Merry Christmas Wolfie" a smirk appeared on his face before he growled quietly almost under his breath and pulled me forward, roughly kissing me.

"EWHHHH GROSSSSSSSS" Aden yelled in a high pitch, that even the dogs could hear him. I chuckled against Izayan lips, "go get my present bitch" Izayan barked a laugh

Aden flipped me off before running up the stairs, grabbing the present and running back down in record time. He flung a red wrapped box at my face and I caught it before it reached its destination.

"Yo, Aden bro..." Izayan looked him straight in the eye, "that better not be an engagement ring" Aden tried to hold the laughter but before we knew it, he was on the floor in a fit of giggles. I ripped open the wrapping paper and inlay a box, while Aden was wiping his tears I opened the box to see a ring. OH FUCK! Was the first thought that ran through my head then I thought rationally and laughed, it was indeed an engagement ring but not from Aden, he had told me about this ring slyly while we were talking earlier. It was a ring with a heart in the middle with a crown sitting on top of it, I slipped the ring onto my finger with the heart facing out, only Aden and I knew what that meant so it made the present that little bit more special.

Izayan just sat there looking stunned, he didn't think it was an engagement ring but it had looked like it. I waved my hand in front of his face,

"It's nice isn't it ?" he nodded his head and watched as I got up and hugged Aden tightly,

"Thanks, Aden I LOVE IT!" I let go of him and sat in my original place but not before my gaze swept over Brooke who looked taken back and a little upset, I was about to get up and comfort her when Aden noticed got up and pulled her out the room to speak to her.

"Um," Izayan cleared his throat, "can I get my present?" I looked at him with mischief displayed all over my face.

"You don't have anything I want..." I laughed evilly and I watched as Izayan face changed from innocent to I'm going to hunt you down. I took a deep breath and jumped up just as he came for me.
