"Do you even know where you are going?" Lori asked John who was leading them through the maze of hallways. It had only been a few minutes but seemed like a few hours. John had taken the role of leader and was just as lost as the rest of them. He ignored the question and kept going. After about 10 more minutes he finally gave up.
"Fine. I'm lost." He sat against the hallway and put his hands in his head.
"Forget about him." Lori said and looked around. "Over here!" She motions them over to a map of the facility. "So I guess we are here." She points to the "you are here" symbol. "And the boats are over here" Lori glides her finger across the map to the river.
"That's not too bad." Tara said. They started walking and John finally caught up.
"Well I could have done that." He shows off. Lori rolls her eyes and leads the group through the hallways and to a door that said "Loading dock"
"Looks like we are here!" She said excitedly and opened the door. Down below there was a huge herd of walkers that were all around the boats, everyone stared in misbelief at what they are seeing.
"I've never seen so many of them at once." Aislinn said gently. She was feeling better but she was still in a little pain. Lori slowly shuts the door and turns to the rest of the group.
"Ok, what should we do?" Her voice was a little nervous but confident. "How many guns do we have?" Everyone takes them out and puts them in piles, three rifles, two shotguns, and five pistols.
"That's not too bad, right?" John asked. He was trying to act cool but he wasn't doing a very good job.
"You ok?" Tara asks him. He shakes his head and stands up tall.
"I can do this, I can do this." He repeats to himself. "Okay, what's the plan?" He asks with a little more confidence.
"How about me, Tara, and Ludwig take the rifles and John and Megan take the shotguns, and everyone else takes a pistol?" Lori suggests.
"I like that but just one suggestion." Tara takes her rifle and hands it over to Ava and takes her pistol. "I have a machete, I don't need a gun." Ava looks a little nervous but Tara reassures her. "The rifle is the easiest to shoot, you'll be fine." She nods and takes a step back studying the gun.
"Wait wait wait, I have one problem with that. Old Freitastic over here." Ludwig pauses and points to Megan. "Can't shoot a shotgun 'cause she only has one hand." Ludwig mentions and rolls his eyes at Tara. They both laugh a little and Tara makes adjustments.
"Damn I'm stupid," She pauses and tries to think of anyone else who can shoot a shotgun well. "Bob, take Megan's shotgun and give her your pistol." He does as she said and they all prepare to go outside.
"Ready everyone?" Lori yells and puts her hand on the door. Everyone shook their heads but she opened the door anyway. Right then a wave of walkers came in and the first one took a bite out of Lori's shoulder, another one went to the side and took Jack's arm and ripped apart the flesh and muscles. Ludwig shot both of them and Tara took her machete to the front five. Everyone tried to do their part but they were still in shock.
"Come on guys!" Tara yells over the never ending gunshots.
