Introduction

Abby's POV

M16 and CIA are doing a training course with each other, where the new agents get paired up together. I'm paired with some idiot named Edward Townsend. As I reach the facility, I'm a little nervous, especially since I'm paired with a man, and my trust doesn't come easily.

Edward's POV

I'm excited about this M16-CIA training. I'm just not looking forward to working with some woman that I've never met. I hope she isn't anything like Catherine, my last girlfriend, a selfish bitch who doesn't care whether I live or die, especially considering we need to keep each other alive. I hope Abigail Cameron is nothing like her.

Abby's POV

"Excuse me," I say as I tap one of the M16 agents on the shoulder to get his attention. As he turns around, the first thing I notice about him is his beautiful blue eyes. "I'm looking for an Edward Townsend, do you know where I can find him."

Edward's POV

I was looking for Abigail until this woman comes up behind me and asks where I am. I'm assuming she was completely lost, considering she doesn't realize I'm her partner. She has beautiful long brown hair, brilliant emerald eyes, and is easily the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen in my life. She looks to be about my age, 21. "Are you Abigail Cameron?" I ask.

"Yes," she answers hesitantly. I hold out my hand for her to take it, which she does, after exactly 7 seconds of awkwardness.

"Edward Townsend, pleased to make your acquaintance," I say.

Abby's POV

I think I might have a little crush on him, oh who am I kidding? I admit it, I have a huge crush on him! And by the looks he's giving me, I can tell he has similar feelings about me. "It looks like we're partners then," I say, stating the obvious like an idiot.

"It does, doesn't it," he replies, not noticing my idiocy.

We get our mission, and our covers are a boyfriend and girlfriend, how perfect. We have to take down an enemy agent at a restaurant in Paris in 0800 hours. Again, how perfect.

"Are you driving, or am I?" He asks. I lunge for the keys. "Then I guess that means you're driving."

"Yup, and if you have a problem with that, you can take me on a date, and then I'll let you drive," I don't realize what I'm saying until the words are out of my mouth. Damn it!

"Okay, how about I take you up on that offer. I'll take you on a date after we finish our mission tonight," he says, I can barely hear what he's saying because my heart is about to beat out of my chest.

"Okay," I say sheepishly.

"Then it's our date."

We get into the car and I start driving. We have basic conversations throughout the whole drive. I don't know how long it takes, but eventually we make it to where we're supposed to be. "Close your eyes and turn around," I say.

"Why?" He asks.

"Because I have to change and I said so. Plus, I won't get undressed until at least the third date," I say, and he chuckles but does as he's told. I quickly take off the clothes I'm wearing and slip on a gorgeous gown, not that it's my taste, because I despise dresses of any kind. "You can turn around now," I say. I flip down the advisor and open the mirror and start doing my makeup and hair.

"You look stunning," he says in awe of me as we walk into the restaurant.

"You don't look half bad yourself," I reply in awe of him. He offers his arm, and I take it. I lean my head on his shoulder as we wait to be seated. I feel him kiss the top of my head, and he takes my hand in his. I melt into his embrace. I can feel myself falling in love with him.
