The next day
Lucas has always lived down the street. Even though my mom was an addict and my dad died a few months back, he's something that the universe couldn't take from me. We were simple, yet inseparable. He walked me home and we talked about my "incident" at school. How am I going to explain what happened if I don't even know myself?
I turned around and grabbed Luke's hand
"thank you." I said with a smile and went inside."About time ammmbeeeeerr. Its like you don't even live in this fucking home anymore."
thanks mom. I ignored her comment and went upstairs to my bathroom. I examined my face. I was the same ol me, same wavy brown hair same pasty brown eyes. I pulled down my shirt a tiny pit and noticed a galaxy of blues and purple circles on my neck. I even had bruises on my stomach. thinking about them made my hands itch. I got so angry for what they did.
"Amber. You're better than this"
my dads voice echoed in my head.I took a deep breath and left my bathroom
I tied my hair up in a messy bun and put on an old pair of sweats to go to bed. Thinking about school is making me anxious. I find myself getting called at the thought of Lucas & this year being my last in high school.
