"Sorry!  It's all my fault, Natalie. I bumped into him. Both of our speeches fell and I picked up the wrong one in  hurry. I didn't even check it ", I pleaded.

"It's not your fault at all. Calm down. Though it did favour us, we have to handle the situation carefully".
Natalie was smart and she was figuring a way to clean up the mess I created.

Meanwhile, the door opened. Ethan walked in cheerfully.
" How did I do girls? Did you see how the crowd was cheering for me. I always knew I had it in me. You saw my charm? Whole college seemed to be impressed. We are so winning these elections", Ethan was way overexcited.

Natalie and I looked at each other and then bawled at him collectively,
"You effed up!"

"Woah! Hang on guys! Why are you giving me those looks. That devil, Steve! He effed up. How foolish of him to steal our speech. I wanted to beat the crap out of him-"

"Actually, I stole their speech. Wait! Not stole, not intentionally. They kind of got switched", I explained, embarrassed.

Ethan looked baffled. He certainly had no idea what was going on. I glanced at Natalie and she nodded her head assuring me that she would explain the whole incident to him. I left as I had to shop.

I stood frustated in the library. An hour had passed and I couldn't find the book I was searching for. Where the hell had it gone? I'd searched in every corner of the library and probably didn't had the guts to ask the librarian who was on the phone for past hour. Disturbing the 'monster'  librarian was not a good idea.

I picked a book and sat down to read it. Suddenly, I glanced at the table at the corner of the library.
THERE WAS MY BOOK!
Someone with blond hair was probably reading it. I stood up to ask him if he would be kind enough to give it to me. But I froze in my place when I saw his face. MY ENEMY! Why did he have to poke his nose in my matter.And what was he doing in library? It wasn't for jerks!

" Listen up everybody!", librarian's voice alerted me.
" There's an announcement for all the members of literary club. All of you will be paired up and you have to prepare a book report on book of any genre. I have the list for the pairs. So please, listen carefully! "

" Riley and Ned "

" Evan and Jason " 

" Kendall and Hoe"

" Spencer and Liam"

" Kriss and Nick"

NICK? Who was Nick? I thought

" Kindly stand next to your partners and discuss. You are to submit the book report within a month."

A month? That was impossible. I had so much work to do. Also the elections were pretty soon approaching! And what if the partner I got was not supporting! By the way, where was my partner?

Then I saw someone approaching me. My eyes widened. This was not happening! God! I was certainily dreaming! And this was a Nightmare!

That STUPID BLONDIE JERK came and stood next to ME!!

So, 'Nick' was his name. All this time, I was unaware of his name.
How in the world was I going to work with HIM ? Without being eaten alive ?

" I don't want to work with you! You would be the last person I want to work with! ", he roared.

"Well, the feeling is mutual!" , I frowned.

He was literally throwing daggers at me through his eyes. I narrowed my eyes at him in hate.

" Go and ask if we can change our partners. "

" Stop commanding me! Even though I want to change the partner as much as you but I'm not going to that witch! ", I folded my arms.

" I must talk that out myself then", he sounded frustated. He went in lion's den.

I looked from a distance. I could not hear them but the librarian was blazing fire on him, it seemed. She was really angry. I smirked. He definitely deserved that. I tried to resist my giggle.

"Well, She isn't ready to change the pairs.", he coldly informed me.

" I told you. She's a monster"

" I agree. She definitely is a monster. I'll have to think a thousand times next time before talking to her."

"Heyy! Did you just agree with me? That's weird"
