That was only the beginning of middle school so be prepared for the next part of my new life....

Everyone else was finally done comparing so the teacher spoke up, trying to silence the class ,"settle down class, today we are not doing any assignments ,but you'll be getting used to your new teachers". We met our P.E. teacher: Mrs. Patter
Music teacher: Mrs. Mary
Science teacher: Mr. Parker
Math teacher: Mr. Jonathan
Blah,blah, blah....
Principal: Mrs. Patty
We met all of our teachers so we head down to the Cafeteria for lunch. I see Lilly at a table with the two other girls, and I decided to join her. "LILY!!!!". I yell across the room and run to the table to join her "Oh,hey Hally"Lilly says.
"Who's that!?" The Madeline girl asked.
"Hally,my old friend" I didn't like the way Lilly said old friend.
"Oh"Madeline looked really disgusted.
"Can I join you?"I finally speak up.
"Sure"Lilly looked pleased
I start to sit just as Madeline pushes me out her way to sit, and screams ,"Of coarse not.. Remember Lilly,popular girls don't hang out with people like her, look at her outfit,she's not popular, you are."
"Sorry, Hally, see you later". Lilly looks at me and Waves..I can't believe she chooses to be popular over her best friend... Now I want to cry..... Help me, Help me please!!!!!!!
I go to sit at an empty table and open my brown lunch bag. I hear Lilly giggling at the other table chatting with the 'popular girls'. Then a girl sits next to me and asks" Are you ok?", I look at her and speak"NO!"
"Why?"
"Because my friend abandoned me for the 'popular girls' "
"That happened to me too, but it's ok...Hey,can I see your schedule?"
I hand her the schedule as I take another bite of my PB&J sandwich. Then I realize: this is the same Kayla girl from Homeroom"Are you Kayla?" I asked her
"Oh,yeah.. We have Math and P.E. together"
I smile at her and I say
" Does this mean we're friends?"
"Umm...y-yes, if you want"
"Sweet!!" That sounded weird, because I never said sweet before, so....yeah.

We had no recess that day because it was the first day of school. I go home and lay on my bed and think... Maybe today wasn't so bad after all.
I smile and think about how I have new friends just like Lily...maybe I don't need Lily anymore,
I have Kayla... My NEW friend.........
