Løst (Unfinished)

The Beginning

"Emily! Hurry up, we're leaving soon." My mom called from downstairs. "Coming!!" I yelled. We were leaving to go to the same place as always. The family cottage.

I'm exited to get a break from work.. watching those kids suffer is just terrifying. I brought my bag down that had everything I needed for the week in it. "Jason arrived a couple minuets ago. He was helping us load the car." My dad said to me as he walked outside with more bags. "Oh okay!" I ran outside and saw him.

Slowly I went behind a tree and he didn't notice. He walked passed and I jumped out at him "boo!!" "AHH!!! WHAT THE- oh, come on! How come you get me every time!!" Jason said laughing than leaning in to hug me.

I hugged him back and giggled. "I'm just like a ninja!" I said smirking. He chuckled and kissed the top of my head.

We both got into the backseat of the car and my parents went up front. "Okay, is everyone ready?" My mom said. She looked back at us and we nodded.

My dad started to drive and Jason and I turned on our phones. We connected them on a app then took turns playing music for the other threw our ear buds.

About two hours into the car ride Jason and I both got messages from the organization. Since we both work together, we decided it's okay for the other to see what it was.

Turns out we both got the same message.

Good afternoon workers. Out test subjects have returned from their last mission. Only 4 out of the 10 sent out survived. Anyhow we have more important news. It has been sent out by the owner of our company that their experiment with sharks has gone terribly wrong. There has now been an infestation of sharks everywhere. We advise you to please keep yourselves safe. Our next test will be put together on December 2nd. Goodbye.

"Damn..." I said to Jason. He just nodded. I knew he was scared of sharks but he seems petrified now.

I wonder if I can still swim in the lake... I thought. Probably. Sharks aren't in that lake.

Finally the car ride was over. Everyone stepped out and unloaded the car.

I went out to the dock and sat down looking into the water. I'm not sure what it was, but something felt... off.. usually you would see fish around here but there wasn't any. They are probably just hiding.. nothing to worry about.

"Hey Em! Wanna go swimming?" I looked behind me to see that my friend Grace, who lives in the cottage nextdoor, was there.

"Yeah sure!!!" I said happily. Grace also works in the same organization as Jason and I. I went inside and got changed. I came out and ran onto the dock with Grace.

We jumped into the water together. I still felt like something was watching me.. Grace and I decided to go look underwater. As we went under we saw it.

A huge shark.

Probably about 10 feet long. I wanted to scream but I couldn't since I was underwater.

Grace and I looked at each other in fear and swam as fast as we could away from the shark. It had noticed us and started to chase us. Luckily, Grace and I made it to the dock just in time.

But now the dock seemed like it was never ending. It looks so long compared to how it did before! Grace noticed too but we still ran.

The shark was right beside us in the water the entire time as we ran across the dock. It seemed like it was going to jump out at us!!

We made it to land and started panting. I fell onto the ground and Jason came to help. "What happened?!" He said.

"T-the sharks... they're everywhere...."

he looked out into the water to see that there were thousands of sharks swimming around in the lake. "Damnit..." was all he said.

Heya :3 just wanted to say this whole story idea is actually from a dream I had... it scared me and I think people might enjoy my nightmares. Heh.... yaaaaaay >~<
