I put on my black combat boots and walked out of my room. Mom was on the couch watching T.V. I slowly walked to the door and was about to be outside when she turned her head a little and looked at me. "Where the hell do you think you're going?" she yelled at me her eyes were flashing with anger and her teeth were starting to grind onto each other.
I winced at her tone, little goosebumps were starting to rise on my skin. I looked up at her and decided to stand my ground, " I'm going out. I need some time to think." I nodded my head, just because it seemed like I should have.
She looked confused for a moment, I grabbed the door knob and walked out of my house before she could go back to her senses and start yelling at me. When I was walking down the street I figured out something that was going to stand a problem in finding this guy. I don't know his name or his moms name, and I can't ask the Carter's because I threw a fucking brick through their window.
I was lost. I couldn't find this guy. I screamed in frustration, which earned me a few glares from morning joggers. It couldn't be done.
All I could do was fulfill her last wishes.
That was it, I was going to die. Everything I worked for until this moment will mean nothing to anyone. I will just be another kid who couldn't take the world anymore.
I was going to jump.
----
When I got to the school building, it was about 4 am. I had to take some stops before I got here. When I die, I want it to be on everyone's Facebook or Tumblrs.
I took the back way into the school, making sure not to step on the empty beer bottles and empty cigarette carton. I climbed the ladder to the roof, making sure to take it with me, and sat down on the edge.
I thought about how Bethany was sitting here not even a week ago. How she gracefully fell to her death.
And I was going to do the same. I looked off into the sunset until I saw a students and teachers starting to crowd around the building. I recognized a few of them, but most of my friends had ditched me when I started to date Bethany.
I scanned the crowd until I found Blake. He looked almost scared. Most of the people looked scared. I don't think they want to laugh anymore after they saw Bethany.
I took out a plastic bag I stuffed in my hoodie from one of my errands. 300 little pieces of papers saying YouTube, Bethany Carter.
I posted every last video. I wanted the world to see her take on things. I turned the bag upside down so the little slips of paper could fall onto the crowd. People were scrambling for the papers. A few already had there phones out and were probably going to watch the video.
I smiled to myself for a moment. Bethany would have loved this. But she isn't, and soon I will join her.
I got up from the edge of the building and turned around just like Bethany did.
And I started to fly. Just like Bethany had said. I heard gasps from the crowd and some people screaming. But it all went black, and all I could see was Bethany glowing a gold color.
"Welcome to the other world." she smiled.
