I have never been in love. I have never had a boyfriend. I have never been kissed. My virginity is safe with me where it belongs. I am 23 as of today.
"Happy Birthday Ann!' my friends screamed as I clomped down the stairs to breakfast. I looked down at my pjamas. Light blue pants with penguins on them and a plain white T-shirt. Both of my friends were carrying like 6 shopping bags each. They dragged me back up the stairs back to my room.
"Wha...?" I started to ask when my friends, Leah and Jenna started throwing clothes at me. "Damn, you guys could pitch for a pro baseball team with aim like that!' Every single piece of clothing hit me in the face until it looked like there was only one thing left. "STOP! What the fuck is going on!!!!"
Jenna and Leah looked at each other "Tonight we're going to Tyler's party to find you a man!" they squealed.
"What if I don't want a 'man'??" I asked, frowning. "I like being single."
"Well to bad! Your 23 for crying out loud! YOU NEED A MAN!" Jenna nearly screamed at me.
"Ugggg. Well then what are all the clothes for?" I asked, annoyed and a little scared.
"A make over of course!!" Leah exclaimed.
"NO GUYS! No way in hell!" I yelled. " Besides whats wrong with how i look now?"
"Nothing. You just need to try harder." Leah said, looking at me.
"I try!' I exclaimed pulling on a pair of old sweatpants. Jenna and Leah looked at me skepticly.
"Ann, please, do what we say and you'll have the perfect man in no time!" she said pulling out a VERY slutty dress from her bag.
"Whoa! I am definately NOT wearing that!" I said as they threw the dress at me. It was an off-the-shoulder, deep blue dress that went down to mid thigh. It also had a large brown belt around the waist.
"Ann, please, just put it on!" Leah asked a little frusturated.
"Uggggg, fine." I said as I unwillingly headed to the bathroom.
I slipped out of my sweatpants and T-shirt and put on the strapless bra that was thrown at me. When I finally got the dress on I peeked in the mirror. I have to admit it did look really good on me.
When I finally came out of the bathroom I got bombarded with compliments. "OH MY GOD!!!!! ANN YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!! YOU LOOK SO HOT!!!!!!" they said, squeeling like proud mothers.
"Can I take it off now?" I pleaded.
"Yes, we just had to see how it fit." Leah said "We'll be back at 6:00 tonight to help you get ready."
"Wait, dosn't the party start at 10:00?" I asked, confused.
"We know. We have something extra planned for you." Leah said mysteriously.
"What?" I asked, these girls tend to go to extremes.
"You'll just have to wait and see." Jenna said, grinning.
They left my room and I heard them go down the steps and, eventually, out the door.
