Death dwelled in a luxurious old castle up north a mountain side of town. Deku and Kacchan stood at the entrance of the black gates.
So this is where death lives among the living? Deku question in his head.
Suddenly the gates opened, as if welcoming to enter. Deku and Kacchan Approached the large home, as the double doors open revealing an old interior castle lit by candles and oil lamps.
"Welcome to my home," Death's voice echoed through the castle as his smoky figured appeared at the top of the centered double staircase.
"It's more of a castle...it's fit for a king," Deku mumbled eyeing the statues of gargoyles.
"Oh it's nice to finally hear your voice," Death said smiling. He started walking almost gliding down the staircase. Death turned a bit serious, "Did you give my proposal any thought?"
Midoriya sighed,"well..I can't say no when you're practically begging me," he muttered.
Death tsk'ed a settle grin.
"HEY, DON'T SPEAK TO THE GREAT DEATH LIKE THAT, YOU SCUM!" Kacchan pulled on Deku's hair.
Death tilted he's head a bit and snickered a smile,"Bakugou, You'll be working too,"
Kacchan aka Bakugou froze,"Wait...I'll be working with you!?"
"You'll be working along side Midoriya," Death smiled.
"WWWHHAAAA?" Bakugou complained.
"So...what's the job?" Midoriya aka Deku, asked pushing Bakugou off of him.
"Right this way," Death said leading them to an open room with a circle table with a man and a woman sitting around it. As Deku entered the room he was met with a paired of sadden eyes with soaked of tears, "Is this him? The boy who sees?" The woman was a motherly figured who seemed to be weeping.
A man sat on the woman's side, as he place a gentle hand on the woman's shoulder, "we've came a long way to meet you, sir,"
Deku was puzzled by the male and female who were dressed old fashionably and spoke properly.
"You're searching for someone?" Deku question but it was more of a suggestion.
"Yes," the woman said, "My name is Margaret Croft and this is my husband John Croft, we seek our daughter, Lilly, so we can move on and into the light," She said as her voice trembled and cracked.
Deku blinked.
Death turned to Deku and Kacchan, "this couple had suffered decades without their beloved daughter that they cannot move onwards without her. They seek a counseled clairvoyant who can find their daughter in the dark abyss," Death said he too also sounding properly.
"But, you're a ghost, can you not find her yourselves?" Deku asked.
"We've tried, many times, but she's trap," John stated.
"Sir, won't you hear our plea?" Margaret asked as she reached out and held Deku's hand. Deku felt a sudden shock of surprise for he had felt this spirit's physical hand. He gently pulled back, and stared at the very hand the spirit had touched.
Deku turned to Death, "what's going on?"
"What if I told you, that my realm has no sense of time or present?" Death said, "within my realm there is all walks of live, from all parts of time. When spirits come here they are energized with a physical body with this castle. My own very existence can for see the past, present and the future. So I've brought you all together. The Crofts come seeking for their daughter beyond the grave. They yarn for her that they seek Death." Death paused, "...their daughter is lost and is wavering between two realms. An evil presence had captured her soul, and will not allow her to leave. It is your duty to seek her using your ability," Death told Deku.
