ch. 3

Lucas

I couldn't stand it anymore.

Maya was constantly on my mind since the night I slept over at her apartment. I had to make a move, and it had to be good.

I pulled out my phone and began to type:

L: Hey Shortstack

M: Howdy Ranger Rick

I rolled my eyes. I could already see her laughing about me while she texted this.

L: I'm picking you up at 5. We are going on a date

I hesitated before I sent that text. I was about to not send it but then I imagined Maya Hart as my girlfriend and pressed the send button so fast.

Maya

I read the text from Lucas and dropped my phone.

A date? Lucas Friar, the hottest, funniest, most adorable cowboy in the entire world was actually asking me out?

Riley looked up from her phone when she saw that I still hadn't picked mine up off of the ground.

"Peaches, are you okay?" My cheeks reddened and I couldn't help but smile. "Lucas is taking me out on a date."  "WHAT????!!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!" Riley yelled as she stood up on the couch and began to jump around squealing.

"Riley chill." I said laughing.

"Chill? You are asking me to chill? I have been waiting for this moment foreverrrr. Lucaya is supposed to be endgame." Riley jumped down and hugged me.

"What did you call us?" I asked giggling. "L U C A Y A. It's your ship name duh." she replied after spelling out the words. "Our what name?" I asked in pure confusion. What drugs was this child on? "Oh nevermind. C'mon we have to get you ready!!" 

And with that she dragged me into my closet and we looked around for something to wear.

"Oh this is perfect." Riley said as she pulled out a short black dress that was laced in on the back. I rolled my eyes and put it on, straightening my hair afterwards. Riley helped me with my makeup and we went to study the finished product in the mirror.

"Aw Maya you look beautiful Lucas is going to love it."

"Thanks Riles." I said giving her a hug. 

I looked at the clock and it read 4:57. "Okay Riles you need to go Lucas will be here soon." "Okay have fun peaches." She left but quickly stuck her head back through the door. "But not too much fun." and then left.

I shook my head laughing and then heard a knock on the door.

Lucas. He's here.

I shook myself and opened up the door. He looked super handsome in his all black shirt and black pants.

Maya opened up the door and I looked at her in awe. She looked so amazing.

Maya

We stared at each other for a good 2 minutes but I broke the silence by saying, "Hey Huckleberry, you ready to go?"

"Yes ma'am." He replied tipping forward an imaginary hat.

I laughed and linked my arm through his and we headed out.

When we got to the car he pulled a blindfold out of his pocket. "Alright where I'm taking you is a surprise so put this over your eyes."

"You aren't kidnapping me are you?" I said sarcastically. "Eh maybe." He replied. I laughed and he turned on the radio. It was weird not being able to see anything but I sang along when "New Rules" by Dua Lipa came on. 

I could feel Lucas smiling at me.

About 30 minutes later I felt the blindfold come off.

"C'mon let's go." Lucas said and we got out of the car. We were on the side of a mountain and there was a table set up with food and candles. It was beautiful.

"Aw Sundance this is so cute." "Why thank you." He said grinning at me. The food looked AMAZING. I didn't know Lucas could cook. 

"That's not it." He said smiling as he pulled out a projector and set it on the table. He pulled a sheet out of his car and hung it up between two trees.

We ate first and watched the sunset chatting about school and other things. I was actually having an amazing time. Once the sun went down, Lucas put a movie into the projector.

I didn't know what movie it was but I patiently waited, snuggling into Lucas' side. I laughed when I saw that it was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Aka my favorite Harry Potter movie.

As the movie started he began to play with my hair and I looked up at him. "Lucas this is the best night I have ever had. Thank you." "Did Maya Hart actually just call me by my real name?" I rolled my eyes. 

Out of the blue in the middle of the scene when Harry has to get the egg from the dragon Lucas grabbed my face and pulled it towards him pressing his lips against mine. After what seemed like an eternity he pulled away and smiled at his shoes. I immediately pulled him by his shirt towards me and kissed him again and again. He smiled in between kisses and pulled me closer to him.

Sorry Harry, we are a little busy.

Lucas

The movie finally ended and I looked down to see Maya asleep against my chest.

 I smiled and said, "Shortstack, we gotta go now." 

She groaned in her sleep and shoved her face into my shoulder wrapping her arms around my neck.

I chuckled and lifted her up in one hand while I grabbed the other stuff with my other hand. I gently placed her in the passenger seat and put the other things in the truck.

When I got in the car I found her awake and stretching her arms.

"I thought you were asleep?" I said confused.

"Nah I just wanted you to carry me." She said turned up the radio.

We headed back to the apartment and sang along to every single song.

Yay third chapter finished. I was wondering if any of you guys wanna give me feedback or something? Anyway, thanks for reading.
