Chapter 1

Harley Quinn POV

SLAP, I fell to the ground the metallic taste of blood in my mouth. I reached up and felt the sting on my surely busted lip, the maniacal laugh of my mistah. J rung through our hide out. "Mistah. J please stop I promise I'll do better just please stop." I said with tears forming in my swollen eyes. He kicked me in ribs over and over, he grabbed me by my hair and through me into pole and I could feel the warm blood spuing out of nose and head. I tied to stay up by holding the pole but I felt a sharp pain in my knee making me screem and fall down looking up at him holding my oversized mallet on his shoulder.

"Look Harley this just another of my many reminders to make sure you know your place." He said bringing the mallet down, luckily I doged it and it hit the ground smashing bits of it into my face. My babies came out of their room and garded me from my puddin, he just snickered and said "Manjy mutts, get out of here Harley I think you learned." I got up and looked at him "B- But puddin its raining out side." I said trying to plead with him. " Good mabye it'll help wash some of that blood off." He said before walking away ten one his henchmen ,Carl, came over and exdanded his hand to help me up.

I took it and he helped me to my feet "Sorry Harley I hope it's not to bad." He said, the big softy and I smiled at him as I lied to the door with bud and Lou trailing behind. I walked outside and immediately shivered against the cold, my torn coustume probably didn't help much either. I walked out of the hideout area and made my way out into Gotham, my nerves on edge probably just because of what happened until I heard laughter followed by "Well well boys looks like the women in this city are making things easier for us."

Poison ivy POV

I sighed as walked out of the coffee shop, I had to resist the urge to strangle the young man behind the counter who kept staring at me, more specifically my chest. At least the the coffe its self was good. I was walking back to my car when I heard a feminine scream coming from nearby, yet again Gothams lowlife preying on innocent women. "Let go of me you assholes do you know who I am.". My eyes widened to the sound of that familiar voice, Harley needed my help. Dropping my long forgotten coffe on the ground I ran towards the source of the cry for help.

When I arrived to enter acne of the alley I saw Bud and Lou on the ground trying to get up and Harley was being restrained by a man who eye was gushing blood, no dought Harley's doing. The two were surrounded by three other men, one with a bat and the other had butchers knife in his hand. "Hey, let her go NOW!"I yelled gaining their attention, the guy holding Harley threw her into the pile of garbage next to them.

In a fit of rage my eyes glowed green and plants shot from the ground wrapping the men up and throw them until I was sure they're knocked out. I went over to Harley and softly picked her up,Bud came up behind me and started nuzzling Harley's hand. I carried her to my car nearby and placed her in the front seat, and while reluctant at first let the two hyenas into the back seats where they immediately layed down staring at their owner sitting in the seat in front of them. I got in my seat and drove off to my hideout on the outskirts of Gotham.

Harley Quinn POV

I opened my eyes and quickly shut them felling nauseated at the light shining into the room. Wait a room I got up and looked around realizing that I was at ivy's place and then ivy herself walked in with a tray of food and smiled at me making me smile back. She came over and placed the tray on my lap, on it were two pancakes with a side a bacon and chocolate milk. I put the tray aside and embraced the redhead in a bone crushing hug, "Thanks red but how did you find me?" I asked into her shoulder not wanting to pull away from her best friend.

"I heard a scream realized it was you and these guys had you, I tossed them around with my plants till they were either uncouncious or dead which ever came first then I brought you and the boys here." She said "Wait my babies are here oh red thank you." I said sqezzing her tighter pretty much barring my face between her breast. She cleared her throat and I shot up with my face practically boiling from the blush I had tinting my cheeks.

"Um Harley what happened to you last night I figured you could handle of couple of douches in an alley." She said, and I could of sworn she to had a slight blush. "Well those guys didn't do this to me it was mistah j." I said and I knew if looks kill this intier room would be ash from red's gaze. "What, ok that's it I'm gonna kill him and feed him to my plants." She yelled getting up but I grabbed her arm stopping her "Please Pammy don't hurt its nothing to get upset about." I pleaded

"Nothing Harley, really you have two broken ribs, bruises everywhere, a fractured knee, a broken nose and a concussion so bad the NFL wouldn't let you play." She said crossing her arms "I mean when I took your coustume off to clean you up there was barely anything left of it." I tried not to let my tears fallout, i always got upset when red yelled like that. She mostive noticed my struggle to not cry cause she sat back down on the bed and robbed my shoulder "Sorry Harls it's just you claim this maniac loves you and I always trust you but how could someone who loves you purposefully cause you so much pain." She said wiping away pretty so I wouldn't see but I did and I know I'm the reason for it.

I knew she was right but it's not like I'll get any other type of love from anyone, not with the things I've done, especially not ivy. "Your foods getting cold you should eat." She said making me look at my forgotten food "Yeah thanks for helping me out red I'm gonna see Bud and Lou." I said before limping to the door trying to make sure ivy doesn't see me cry.

I made it to the room where red was keeping the boys and they bounded up to me and sat waiting to be loved. I sighed while petting them, at the moment my mind was elsewhere "Boys." I said making them look up "What do you think about what red said should I leave mistah j and if I do ya think she'll let us stay for awhile." I said, of course they didn't give me answers but deep down I want to but I don't know if can.

"Harley do you mean that?" Ivy said making me jump at her voice behind me. "Mean what red?" I said looking nervous "What you just said about wanting to leave him." She said "Crap I said that outloud?" I said covering my mouth "Yeah you did but you didn't answer my question." She said looking at me with so much hope in her eyes. "Yeah I did mean it but I don't know if I can do it, I mean if I do, what then? Where do sleep, what if he comes after me, who would take me in." I said with more tears threatening to fall. "You can stay here Harls and I'll protect you if he comes around." She said sitting next to me "You mean it?" I asked "Yes Harley I mean it now what'd you say you gonna stay." She said holding out a hand to me "Yeah red I'll stay, that man won't hurt me again." I said taking her hand then we embraced in hug both glad with my choice.
