Eira walked down the hallways, out of the school, since she was finished with class early. A large smile was plastered on her face while she thought about the night prior. The events were still reeling in her brain.

Yesterday

Earlier on in the day, Eira ran into this guy when coming out of work, crashing into one another since neither of them were paying attention. The two of them apologized politely before Eira began to run off in embarrassment. Without her group of friends, she didn't have the same confidence.

"Hey, wait up!" The boy ran after her, making her stop at her car. He smiled and handed her phone over, after it having had dropped onto the ground. She widened her eyes, cursing to herself in her brain.

"Oh my god, thank you so much. I don't know what to say, most people would pocket this." Eira laughed nervously, opening her car door and putting her belongings inside. The boy laughed nervously in return as well.

"Well to be honest I don't really need a phone... Wait that wasn't what I meant. I don't steal. Hold on let me back up." His hands moved frantically as he spoke, it was endearing to Eira. "My name is Baekhyung."

He held out his hand to her, completely embarrassed. She just shook it with an understanding look on her face.

"I get it, I do that too sometimes." They stood together awkwardly, not knowing what to say to one another. But Baekhyung spoke up first.

"You get the feeling that this is from a movie? Like all of those romantic comedies?" Eira laughed and nodded, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"Well since you seem to think so too..." He stepped slightly closer, making the girl blush. She leaned against the car, heart beating out of her chest. "Want to go on a date with me? Can't let a moment like this go to waste." Eira was at a loss for words, she hadn't been asked so forwardly before.

"Oh my- Yes. That sounds great." Baekhyung laughed at her shy reaction, stepping back and starting to walk away. "Wait, how do I call you?"

He spun around, smiling wide as he walked backwards. "My number is already in your phone. Text me your address, we can find a time later." He then hurried into the store, leaving Eira baffled and giddy.

Eira blushed and slapped herself mentally thinking back to when he asked her, knowing full well that she shouldn't get her hopes up. She stared at her phone, rereading the simplistic texts between the two of them, asking about each other's days and setting up the date tonight.

She felt so nervous, more than ever before. This was her first official date and she didn't know what she was supposed to do or how she was supposed to act. Eira had asked to schedule their date later since she lived with the other girls and didn't want them to know about this just yet. A soft knock could be heard from the door, causing her to jump from her seat and run to the door.

Baekhyung stood there in stylish yet casual clothes; white t-shirt, black unbuttoned button-up, jeans, and some sneakers. Eira stared in awe at how handsome he looked. That is, until she noticed that he was staring as well. He admired her adorable features and how she looked in a simple black dress that flared at her knees, along with boots that had just enough heel to make her slightly taller.

"Well you look amazing." He held out his hand to her, as she stepped outside. The cold air made her skin tingle, rubbing her arms for warmth after she closed the door. Baekhyung pulled off his shirt and put it over her shoulders.

"You didn't have to do that... We are right in front of my house." She started to take it off to give it back to him, but he stopped her.

"Then I wouldn't be able to see your beautiful face." Eira blushed and took a deep breath, she couldn't believe how much he was complimenting her. No one had complimented her so much before. He held her hand again, pulling her down the street.

"Where are we going Baekhyung? You wouldn't tell me last night or at all today." She walked next to him, finally matching his pace. He merely shrugged in response.

"I don't like formal dates all that much, especially for a first date. I thought we could just go for a walk and talk. That way we could get to know each other better." Eira stayed quiet, moving closer to him due to the cold. Eventually she was practically hugging his arm.

For a bit of time, they walked in silence until Baekhyung broke the silence once again. He asked Eira about her favorite things, her past experiences in her younger years, and the two just talked about anything and everything. Hour after hour passed by until she saw the time, 12:51am. She cursed to herself quietly, catching Baekhyung's attention.

"What's wrong...?" She sighed and looked up at him with a pout.

"I have to go, it's already nearly one in the morning." Baekhyung nodded understandingly, he had to leave himself.

"Well we are almost to your place, so let's just savor these last few minutes." He wrapped his arm around her, finally giving her the warmth she needed. The two walked silently to the front door of her house and stood there awkwardly.

"You know, you're kind of amazing?" Eira scoffed jokingly at his comment.

"Only kind of? I'm all kinds of amazing." She laughed at her own boldness while Baekhyung smiled at how adorable she looked.

"You're definitely right, you really are amazing." She blushed slightly, hitting his chest playfully. He laughed and kissed her cheek before stepping back. Eira froze in place, the blush growing tenfold. Baekhyung laughed again at her adorable reaction, "I look forward to seeing you again Eira."

"Wait! I don't even get an actual kiss?!" She smiled widely as he walked away. Baekhyung once again, as he did earlier, turned around while he walked backwards and shrugged.

"Maybe next time cutie!" And with that Eira stepped inside the house, completely infatuated by this boy.

Today

Eira giggled to herself, recalling the events of the night prior. She was excited to tell her friends finally about her date after they were free today. But would they be as enthusiastic as she was...?
