Me, Natsu and Happy had just come back from our overnight mission. And by god, it proved to be exhausting. Not the mission itself, but just realizing how much of a handful Natsu can be. It's been years since our last mission together, and I have no idea how I managed to forget that one major point about him.
Right now, I just want to head home and relax. I want to run a nice soothing bubble bath and just spend the next few day recuperating. Until I have to go back out on another mission with him. But before I do any of that, I want to head to the guild and see if Laxus is there. I know Luna wont be, as she sent word out that she was going on a mission today with Storm. Which is completely fine, but I really miss her. I haven't seen Luna for a few days now and I'm not liking it one bit.
I don't want to baby her. I don't want her to live a sheltered life, like the one before. I do want my girl to find her own independence, even though letting her make her own path wasn't the easiest decision. But basically entrusting her to Storm, gave me a little piece of mind, I must admit..... And now when I see the both of them, they seem to be getting along. Well, that's what I think, I could be wrong. But hey, at the moment she seems to be complaining less as time progresses. Which is a bonus for me. I love it when I don't get my ears chewed of the second I walk through the door.

Finally I arrive to the guild, just after a few short minutes of walking. I open the door and make my way inside....And just like every day, it's as lively as the day before. Cana still perched on top of a table, cradling a barrel of booze, as she slurs and howls explicit things at the top of her lungs. The old geezers, sitting in the corner, pretending to drink a pint, while gawking at the overly expose cleavage. Surprisingly Levy and Gajeel are acting like little kids, as they make out at a table. As for everyone else, they are just minding their own business.
But as I scan the room, I don't spot Laxus anywhere. I see Ever with Elfman . Bickslow and Lisanna together, and Freed, looking gloomy at the bar. But not a trace of Laxus. Actually now that I look a bit carefully, Mira isn't behind the bar either?
I go to the bar, and stand next to Freed. "Hey Freed." I greeted him.
"Hey Lucy." Freed says as he looks up at me, sounding lifeless.
