The Vampire Prince's Pet

It All Began

Clara's POV

I was only a kid and I didn't understand anything that was going on.All I heard was screaming and yelling.I was so scared.I was the only child so I had no one protect me and after all the screams they found me and grabbed me.I thought that they would kill me like my family but no.

They took me to an old dog shelter where now people are used as pets here.

Which is where I am now.I am 16 years old and I just got back from my old owner and I still have the bruises.I wished that I could have just lived a normal life with no savage killing blood sucking beast would come and get me.I hated vampires and they hated me.

I was wondering if I would die here is this old dog shelter and I would be fine with that but that all changed when he came in.

He was back inside the same old died out dog shelter.He would always come back after a month and would always have a new pet.The reason why was because ether he got tired of them or they became useless.He has had almost every pet and the only people left was me,some little boy,and a 20 year old woman.

I was praying that he would chose someone else and not me but to my luck he chose me."Who is this"He said pointing to me."Sir I don't think you want her"The worker said."Why"He said."She was just sent back because she would always get in trouble and she would only stay with her owner for a week"The worker said.

"Well I want her and that's final ok"He said.The worker nodded than unlocked my cage.He gestured for me to get out but I didn't so he grabbed my dried out messy dark brown hair and dragged me out.I winced in pain because of my bruises from my old owner.

We walked to a room which I was familiar with.When we walked in there were collars,leashes,whips and more like that also an area to where I could get trained which I have been to before.

"What would you like sir"The worker said."Dave I would love to have almost everything but all I need is a collar and leash"He said.I still haven't gotten his name."Yes sir which color"Dave said."Um how about you chose"He said looking at me.I was thinking if I should do it and if I should not but I did.

I pointed to a black and blue one.The same for the leash.The collar and leash was all black and had blue dog prints on them.He grabbed them and paid Dave.He put the collar on me and than attached it to the leash and gestured for me to walk which I did.I was scared of him he was different from my old owners.

He walked into the car and I did too.I kept my eyes outside the window because I was scared to make eye contact.I would glance a few times every now and then.I did once more and saw that he glanced at me I saw the rim of red but it wasn't dark red it was a lighter shade of red.I kept looking at his eyes they were soft more calming than my old owners.I shiver at the thought of that.

We made it to his house.I waited for him to grab my collar and walk me to the house.He told the driver to go home which the driver did.We walked inside the house and it was beautiful.He came closer to me and I flinched at that but he didn't hit me instead he took off the leash and collar."Um S-Sir w-why di-did you take off my c-collar?"I questioned but stuttered because I was scared.I thought he would have hit me for speaking without promotion.

"Because I can and also we need to set rules."He said.I nodded."1st You can sit on the couch when you want to"He said.I nodded again."2nd No going into my office unless I say so.3rd No trying to escape.4th Do as I say.And 5th call me Alex"He said.I nodded not trusting my mouth.

He walked and I followed we went upstairs and we walked into a room.It was beautiful it has white walls with painted vines on them.It has a window and also a queen sized bed with white sheets also.I wanted to run and jump on the bed but I was scared to."Go on do it"He said.I didn't know if he was serious so I still didn't do it.He looked at me and I looked at him."Just go jump on the bed I know you haven't had sleep in a bed for a week"He said.I shook my head."What didn't you just come back though"He said.I nodded my head."You can speak I am letting you"Alex said."Well all my old owners would put me in a cellar and all I would sleep on is the cold hard floor"I said not looking him in the eye."Well jump"He said.

I finally listened to him and ran and jumped on the bed.My god the bed was so warm and cozy I love it.I felt the bed dip and I turned and saw that Alex laid on it.I came close for some reason and I don't know why but I wrapped my arms around him.I felt safe with him but than I remembered he is my owner and a vampire.I pushed away and sat up on the bed."You ok"He asked."Y-yeah"I said."Can I ask you a question"He said.I nodded."What is the real reason you ended up in the dog shelter"He asked.I thought about that I forgot they had records of me and they lied about it saying I turned myself in.I looked at him and hoping he would change the subject because I really don't want to remember.He searched my face and my eyes for answers but I held a blank face."Are you going to answer me"He said."I turned myself in"I said hoping he believed me."Don't lie to me"Alex said trying not to yell at me."I'm not I promise"I said.I got scared and wanted to run off but I knew if I did I would die or get hurt which I didn't want.

"I know you are lying to me please tell me the truth"He said.I whimper because when I moved I hit my bruise.He looked at me in concern and I just looked away from him.I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped at that and moved to the corner of the room.I put my head in my keens and put my hands on my head and shook back and forth.Why would he touch me I hate when vampires touch me I was learned to be scared which I am right now.

I felt my face burning and something wet feel in my mouth and it tasted like salt.I notice that I was crying which made me more scared I hated the sight of blood and tears mainly my own because it would remind me of that day.I just couldn't stop crying I wanted to stop but couldn't I started to shake now and that's when I heard a low sigh.I looked up and saw Alex standing in front of me his eyes were light red which meant he was trying to stay calm and not do anything.I kept looking is his eyes until he came closer to me reaching his hand out I wanted to take it but I didn't want to get hurt anymore so I didn't grab it and just looked away from him wanting to leave this room or at least to leave him so I could calm down.

I got up and pushed him out the way and left the room walking around the house finding a way out to have fresh air or a room where he wouldn't be at all.I kept walking around until I found a large glass hall where you could see plants and flower also a little waterfall with rocks around it.I have always loved nature so this was good.I opened the door I saw and walked out walking around the place.I looked at all the flowers from Roses to Tulips.I picked a white rose up and walked over to the water fall and started to climb it than when I was on top I sat down with my legs swinging back and forth on the edge of the rock.

I was sitting there looking around the place looking at the beautiful area and how I wish I could live here in this very room.I have always wanted to live near woods or flower beds I would always pick a flower when I saw one and kept it until what happened.A tear fell down my cheek but I whipped it away with the heel of my hand.I was to busy looking at the rose I had  in my hand that I didn't notice Alex came in.I looked up and saw him looking at me I wish he could just leave me alone I really don't want to see him right now.

I went to my room and took a shower.When I turned it on I remembered I have no clothes.I went to where I thought Alex would be and I went walking around looking for his office and found two large dark oak wood doors.I knocked once and he said."Come in"I opened the door and popped my head in looking around finding a large dark oak desk just like the doors."Um Alex I have no extra clothes do you have anything that could fit me"I asked and he nodded.He walked out and went to a room which I followed him and a few minutes later came out with clothes.I grabbed them and when I did I felt his cold hands and I shivered with the felling of them.

I walked back to my room and took a shower.I let the hot water run down my sticky and dirty body and making sure I cleaned every part of my body.I than went to my hair and cleaned my hair really good making sure it was clean and smelled new and fresh.I took a while because I haven't had a shower in a few weeks and a few weeks for me is four or five weeks.I sat at the bottom of the shower letting the water run down my body and just thinking.I thought maybe Alex was different but than again he is a vampire and he could just be playing an act for me to trust him than he could stab me in the back.But than again it could not be an act and he really cares for me.Ha what am I saying Alex is a vampire he probably has his humanity off but if he did he would never even ask me those questions at all.

I got out of the shower and got dressed in the shorts that I got and a large t-shirt that was gray and the hot pink shorts.I than went to brush my hair and brush my teeth.I walked out the bathroom shutting off the light and closing the bathroom door.I walked to my bed and forgot about eating I mean I was used to it because all I would get served was bread and some water so I was used to being starved.I than laid in my bed and stared at the ceiling and fell asleep.
