The area was filled with smoke as rubble and devris were left from destroyed buildings and the fire around it. Burnt corpses lined on the ground some pitch black of nothing left and others as if they were still alive but slowly dying. A young man laid on the ground blood falling from his stomach and chin as a puddle could be seen beneath him.
Blue eyes were slightly opened, almost devoid of life.
Is this How I'll die...? Why? Yoru I want to see you again...
These were his last thoughts as his eyes closed, pale skin becoming paler by the second.
Footsteps were heard in the distance as a figure found the boy, red eyes widening in shock. The man fell to the ground, crying while picking up the now lifeless body.
"WHY HIM?! WHY GOD, ANYONE BUT HIM! WHY MUST HE BE TAKEN FROM ME? ARE MY SACRIFICES NOT ENOUGH?! DAMIT, THIS CHILD DID NOT DESERVED SUCH A CRUEL END." The man's shoulders trembled, more sobs escaping him. The boys blood started staining his clothes; however, he could not bring himself to care, his heart now broken.
"I Swear to you my beloved prince I will find you and when next we meet, I will not repeat the same mistake. I'll protect you no matter the cost." Planting a kiss on the boys lips after saying his final words, he took a sword from his waist, stabbing his chest on the process images of his life flashing through his eyes.
A smile appearing on his face while the life left his body, arms still holding onto the boy. Who knew fate worked in mysterious ways and now those souls were destined to find one another.
