       Usually, when I travels between realms, it's nearly instantaneous.  There is moment, imperceptibly brief, that I'm between worlds.  It's so brief it can barely be said to have happened at all. . .but nothing is truly instant.  During this inconceivably brief moment it can be accurately said that I do not exist, that I cease to be an event anywhere inside the vastness of the multiverse.  I have no matter, no agency, no mass, I am for that fraction of time not even an idea, not a memory I am noting.   This is a disturbing thought, but it's so short that I really don't think about it much.  Except when something goes wrong.

      At some point in my long life, perhaps a thousand years ago, perhaps tomorrow I saw something that stuck in my memory when I was between here and there.  I saw a sky, on a beautiful summer day, and there where two Suns.  This shouldn't be unusual to me, I've been to places that have two Suns . . .but this wasn't right.  It was never right, as this second sun cast a terrible light that shone through all time, all space.  It was a beacon, a sign, and for whatever realm it shined it's horrible light on I knew that it had created a world that should not exist.

      I don't know why this mysterious image, which is less than a dream in my memory, should disturb me so.  It is not.
