Jae turned back to the road flicking off the hazard lights and rejoined the frantic freeway. He let out a long sigh and gingerly grabbed my hand. Bringing it to his lips he placed a simple kiss to the skin of my palm making my bell flutter and a gush of heat rush to my core.

Between him and the weary predicament I was in with Niko and Alan I couldn't be sure all would end well. On the contrary, I was sure it wouldn't.

"You got that address yet?" Jae asked. "Until then I'm just heading toward the house."

I glanced at him demonstrating my acquiescence with a short nod. Glancing back at my phone I was met with a pop-up text message.

'Will not send address Niko doesn't want contact. Go to the attached location and place the cocaine in the second green trashcan by the fountain.'

At the end of the text Alan had attached a Google Maps link to the address. Clicking on it Clydesdale Park popped up.

"Got a message." I told Jae-Jin glancing at him again. His brow furrowed worriedly. "I'll put it in my GPS."

Following the route were were put out of the way a good fifteen minutes. Entering downtown Atlanta with it's towering buildings and skyscrapers made slivers of hope race through my body. The buzz of the metropolitan city clouded my face in wonder. Finally a place where I could escape my past, be anyone I thought. Almost away from the clutches of my bothersome Alaska buddies and a few close minutes from free of the bullshit the simple hopes had a small smile gracing my face.

"What are you smiling at," a previously silent Jae asked me.

"Nothing, just happy I guess."

I looked over at him and was temporarily taken aback by the look he gave me. His face was overtaken by some dopey love struck grin that tugged at my heartstrings and had me seeing my future in his eyes.

"Well I'm happy you're happy."

My snarky response was cut off as soon as I spotted the gate to Clydesdale Park. Driving slowly in the median and taking an easy left he entered the iron gate to the park. Looking around the only thing that could be seen for yards was the expanse of greenery to the left and rows of painted parking spaces adorning the cement on the right.

"Go ahead and park," I told Jae.

The car slid into one of the many empty parking spaces closest to the paved sidewalk of the park. I looked around vestiges of fear forming in me when I came to the conclusion we were the only car in the whole park. That was weird considering someone wanted me to drop tens of thousands of dollars worth of drugs in a trash can.
