Smriti's pov

It's been one and a half year since I met Alankrit at Nandini' s party . Nobody believes in love at first sight until that special person comes along and steals your heart . Yes , we are dating . And it all started with that small meeting.

Some people cross our paths and change our whole direction . He indeed did that . Alankrit was like a therapist for me . I don't know how but he realised the futility of my smile . He taught me to love myself and to love life . He literally overthrew the spirit of pessimism that had engulfed my mind and soul . I got healed of my depression . Meeting him was like listening to a song for the first time and knowing that it would be my favourite forever.

Well , I joined university this year and days are going on pretty well . And Alankrit?
He got recruited in the ARMY .

I had read somewhere that , " If an army officer loves you , walk like a queen ".

I completely agree with it . It really feels great . When my friends boast of their partners earning huge sums in MNCs ( not there's anything wrong with that ) mine chose to pick up a gun and guard the borders . It had has always been his dream and he had his own share of failures . But that didn't deter him . It's his perseverance that inspires me a lot .

We call each other on a weekly basis . I wait for his phone calls on Sundays as he will magically emerge like a genie out of it . Letters , yes we do it . And believe me it's the most romantic way . In fact we get to know each other better through letters . Give him a paper and pen , he turns into Blake or Shakespeare  ( or whoever you prefer) and makes me swoon with his words....
