The sky looks as blue as ever today as we walk through the crowded streets. Not a single cloud in sight.
We make our way along the streets, holding both my Frères' hands. The streets are quite depressing. Filled by the smell of smoke and dirt. There are people begging on the streets for money, others trying to sell something every two seconds to you.
One of my two Frères, Marcel, tugs on my hand. "Are we nearly there Anne?!" "Lucien and I are getting sick of walking. It's smells and I'm hungry!" He demands.
"Marc, just be patient. It's only around the corner okay?" I explain to him and Lucien.
"Okay then.." He mumbles quietly.
We arrive at the small, cramped house and approach the beautifully carved, wooden door and knock. My grandfather almost straight away answers and welcomes us in.
We walk towards the dining room where our Tante Evelia and Grand-Mère awaits. I walk up to my Tante first and give her a hug.

"Always growing aren't you Anne?" "Going to make a beautiful lady one day!" She comments. "Thanks.."
I reply and walk towards my Grand-Mère who was sitting down on her chair.
She looks up at me and smiles with her old, but beautiful green eyes. She gives me a long, hard hug. "Happy birthday Grand-Mère." I say to her. "Thank you darling. I'm getting quite old."she chuckles.
Eventually after everyone exchanges their hellos and hugs, the adults all sit around the table. "Anne, can you take your brothers and go get us the lunch?" My Mère asks. "Sure. Lucien and Marcel lets go get the food."
We walk into the kitchen and I order the boys to get some water for us. They do as I ask as I collect the food. I start arranging the food onto plates and head towards the dining room.
The door seems to be closed. "Funny, I thought I left that open..." I mumble as I reach towards the handle. I go to turn the handle when something makes me stop. I hear all the adults talking but the conversation seems different to what you would usually hear. All of them are keeping their voices low. I become interested and begin to eavesdrop.
"So is it true...? Is there going to be war?" My Grand-Mère whispers.
"No one can be sure.." Says another voice.
"Have they said anything about who?.." My Mère asks.
"Well the news going around claims it to be the Germans. A group named the Nazi party." Whispers my Grand-Père.

"Well... I don't wa-..."
Suddenly the conversation stops. I hear footsteps towards the door and before I can even react, my Père opens the door.
