Narrative Essay
An indelible memory
"Cherish every single moment of your life while it lasts."
Someone once told me to cherish and enjoy every single moment of our life while it lasts because every single time of our life is a memory. That's why we should treasure it because little did we know that even slightest moment can become a memory that we will never forget. A memory that will last a lifetime. At first I didn't really understand it but later on as time passes by I did.
It was one of the cold days of the month of December. I could still remember how cold and humid the air was on that day. And the weather was slightly sunny but a fair one, conjugating on how the air was, it created a perfect day for a family to bond.
We used a white van to travel, as we, my family and I are inside it, we filled it with our lively discourse, humorous acts, and laughters that made our ride an enjoyable one. I could still remember how joyous their faces and smiles were. It was so light to look at. Seeing them that way made me felt delightful and satisfied. It may sound gay but indeed I felt that way.
As we reached our first destination, everyone joyfully went out of the van, practically jumping out. Our first destination wasn't really that interesting, it is even boring if you think about it. We were just in a city to buy some things and to eat before going to the next one. But because I'm with my family, I didn't felt the atmosphere being bored, I felt the opposite one. We were eventually having a great time.
When we're bound to go to the next place, everyone were a lot more vigorous and active. Laughters still echoes inside the van. And I can say that I am one of the person who laughed so hard and I even threw jokes for them to laugh too. The place that we were about to go was a little far from the city the we were in. It was going up to the mountain areas. But even though it was far, the excitement we felt didn't left us. Maybe because we were so pump up to see the place that many people talked about it as wonderful and aside from that the fact that we were going there as a family gave us that sensible feeling.
Upon getting nearer and nearer to our destination, I can feel nature embracing me. Those trees that dances into the direction of the wind and those green vivid mountains below us are just some of the breathtaking sights I saw through the window.
As I stepped down from the van, the cold wind hugged me right away. I looked at the marvelous view in front of me that shouts nature and green. And then an adrenaline rush of excitement brushed over me. "Woah! This is fantastic!" I exclaimed happily. I also saw through the faces of my company that I'm not the only one who was amazed by the stunning artwork that God made. "God is really great.", I mumbled to my myself. Hands down to the snenery that I'm looking at. Undoubtedly the people were right, Dahilayan is indeed an amazing place to be.
We toured around the place, looking at the fascinating view. We also took pictures as a remembrance. And we also rode the zipline. At first it was really scary but little did I know I'm already enjoying it. The wind brushed over my face when I was riding it. I felt free. Aside from that we also rode the what they called "Drop Zone". It was really horrifying at the same time thrilling. Each one us was having the time of our lives. The smiles in our face didn't fade. Laughters, excitement, and good vibes filled us.
It was already late in the afternoon when we finished exploring the place. Fog were slowly covering up. And the wind was now a lot colder that it used to. We just took one last picture and went inside the van. And after that we travel back to the city where there we ate supper and again travel back to our home.
Inside the van, while going back home, it was so silent. Silent yet, the atmosphere was so pleasant. Almost everyone were already asleep. Who wouldn't? Our energy were drained up, but even though we were exhausted, we still felt happy and at the time, contented.
After the trip was over, everything was back to normal, I'm glad that there wasn't any changes after that. I am happy to keep this memory. The memory wherein everything was perfect. The memory that will always remain within our hearts.
It is absolutely true that we should cherish every moment of our life. Because it can become an unforgettable memory that we didn't expect that it will be.
During those times, I just enjoyed every little bit of it. And, now it is already a memory. An indelible memory that makes me smile and laugh upon remembering it. The memory that makes me be with the love ones who are not with me now. And the memory that gives a light feeling into my chest.
I realize that the memories that I have in my life are treasures. Treasures to be cherish and to be keep that will remain inside my heart forever.
