"That one, looks like a butt," Maya stated with a dopey grin on her face and a bass filled chuckle.
I nudged her with my elbow.
"You're so immature," I said with a grin on my face.
"You know it baby." Maya turned her head to me and jokingly winked. I looked away to hide my blush.
It was like every other Saturday morning. Maya threw pebbles at Emily's bay window until she woke up. Once she woke up, she ran to her window, opened her window, and pretended to be annoyed.
"Oh my God Maya, it's 6:30 am." Maya laughed loudly.
"Yeah, and the sun is rising and the park is empty. We can't miss opportunities like these," she said with excitement in her voice. Emily rolled her eyes jokingly, and sighed.
"I'll be down in a second." Maya squealed, and made her way to the front of Emily's house.
Emily grabbed a sweater, her favorite pair of converse, and a pair of shorts. She ran down her stairs, and opened her door.
"Wanna race?" Maya asked as soon as Emily opened the door. Before Emily could respond, Maya was already half way down the block in the direction of the park. Emily's grin grew as she rolled her eyes and ran after Maya. Once Emily got to the park, the sun had risen, the clouds were starting to form, and Maya was laying in the middle of the park, taking in the whole scene. Emily stopped running, walked up to Maya, and laid down next to her. She watched as Maya's wheels started turning. She loved watching that side of Maya, the side that took in the world around her, the side that showed how she thought, the side that thought philosphosically. The side that no one, but Emily, knew about.
"So Em, what do you see?"
I looked up at the cloudy sky, looking for something in them.
"I don't see anything," I said with my eyes still on the sky, scanning for something.
"Really? Look at that one," Maya said pointing at a large gray cloud.
"What do you see in that one?" She asked.
I looked at the cloud and stared intently at it.
"I see rain in our future," I said with a grin on my face.
"I'm being serious," she said with a smile on her face, "What do you see?"
"I see...uh...a turtle monster attacking a town." Maya tilted her head at the cloud.
"Yeah, I can kinda see it," she said grinning at me. "What about that one?" Maya asked pointing at a small white cloud.
"That one...looks a little penis," I said bluntly, snickering between every few words.
Maya died, "Dude, you've never been more right. It has veins and everything."
We laughed at a few more phallus shaped clouds until Maya saw a cloud that clearly caught her attention. I looked over at her, and analyzed her face.
"What is it?" I asked trying to see the cloud that held her attention.
"That cloud looks like a heart," Maya said with a smile on her face, and her eyes still on the cloud. I looked around until I saw the cloud she was talking about. With her focus still on the cloud, I scooted closer to her, until her head rested on my shoulder.
"Do you see it?" Maya asked looking up at me from my shoulder.
I looked her in the eyes, "Yeah, I do." Maya nuzzled her head into my shoulder deeply as we watched the clouds go by until the sun set.
A/N
Okay, this one was short, but hopefully sweet enough to give you guys some nice feels in your tummy. About half-way through the story I realized, "Oh, this could be a really cute candre one-shot." Since I was already half-way through, and I was really digging the vibe of the story already, I decided not to change it. If you want to see a candre story with a similar premiss, just DM me or leave a review. Thank you guys so much, talk to y'all later. Bye!
