Marvel - AJ

NAME: Anastasia James Terrillan (AJ)

ALIAS: Allure

ABILITIES: AJ can feel the emotions of others by being in the same general area (such as a room) with them. It feels like she has another person (or people) in her head with her, but she can't talk to them. It can manifest as colors/auras as well, in her head and as she looks at them. For example, mad is red, depressed is black, happy is yellow, curious is orange, envious is green, pleasure is purple, and so forth. However, if their emotions get particularly strong, she can feel them from farther away. AJ can also influence those emotions by sending what she calls as vibes to the person. She does this by seeing their aura and trying to change its color by sending the color she wants them to feel until it does. These color vibes can be of any emotion, but they tend to match her emotions unless she is really concentrating on changing theirs to something else. Her powers can affect individuals or the whole room. She is highly susceptible to severe emotional fluctuations, meaning that it is easy to excite or anger or upset her.

WEAKNESSES: She is very sensitive to other's emotions and it can lead to her emotions matching theirs in an attempt to understand why they feel a certain way. Sometimes the auras confuse her, as it can be hard to discern what emotion they are feeling when there are multiple emotions at play. She is bipolar and her emotions change a lot on their own. When she gets really upset, everyone around her can feel it, and the same goes for very happy. Also, AJ is human, and subjected to all of the same injuries and illnesses that other humans are, sometimes even more so as her immune system is low.

POWER ACQUISITION: No one knows, she was always able to see people's emotions, but both of her parents are human.

BACKSTORY: When AJ was really little, she told her mom that people were different colors and that those colors changed a lot. Her mom just thought that it was an over-active imagination. Her emotions tended to mimic the more severe ones around her, but that is normal for small children. Eventually, it got to the point where she was old enough that her parents knew something else was going on. They took her to see a psychiatrist. She told the psychiatrist what was going on, what she saw, and how it felt like she had other people in her head that she could only communicate with through color, and those colors matched the colors of those around her. The psychiatrist called her crazy, so she said that she made it all up, and calmed him before he put her into an insane asylum. Her parents pulled her out of their and moved several states away, where she finished her grade school education at home. However, since she could see their emotions, she knew they wanted more, and once she turned 17, and finished her schooling, she left. She keeps in contact with her parents still though.

APPEARANCE: AJ has thick, long, curly red hair the reaches a few inches lower than her shoulders. Her eyes are gold, but change colors with her moods, to match the aura that she would have, if she could see her own aura. She has pale skin with a natural blush, and full lips. She is 5'4" and average weight for her age. Her choice of wardrobe is usually shorter dresses with circle skirts (think sundresses) in solids or simple patterns, with shorts underneath, oversized cardigans/hoodies, and converse, vans, or flats.
