The leading up events take place on February 11th-13th and then the main act is based on the true life events that took place on February 19th.
It was going to be 7 months together with my girlfriend Heather on the 14th and I spent weeks planning ahead. I had made the reservation for dinner and i had spent 2 weeks hand crafting a gift for the occasion out of a block of a tree that I had cut down months before.
February 12th.
She started a fight with me in front of all of my friends and my friends backed me up and told her that she was out of line. She accused me with no proof that I was cheating on her. I loved her more than anything so naturally this was both a shock and a stab to my heart. It really hurt my feelings and my friends told her to back off and leave. How could she say something like that?
February 13th.
This day will always be remembered as the worst day of my life.
11:47am
The lunch bell had rung and I headed for her locker only to find a group of her friends surrounding her I asked her if she wanted to go somewhere for lunch but was interrupted by one of he friends
"Heather thinks it would be in both of your best interests if you were to see other people." she said in such a tone it made me want to strangle her "It isn't working out."I turned and headed for the stairs. My right hand clenched so hard into a fist that when in came into contact with the heavy metal door, it flew open and hit the concrete wall echoing down the stairwell. Tears formed and ran down my cheeks. I flew down the stairs uncaring for my own safety. I ran outside and threw up. It would be 3 days before I stopped crying and 2 more days after than until I realized that I had broke three fingers and dislocated two knuckles.
February 19th 10:00pm
I had arrived at Alexander's house for the party my hand wrapped in a bandage that did little to nothing. I sat down and before I knew it 8 beers were drank and beside me. It was 11:00pm and my friend offered my shots and I pounded back 10 shots of 40% whisky in 20 seconds my stomach twisted and turned but I ignored it. My other friend had brought Russian standard Vodka and yet another 10 shots in 20 seconds were drank. My vision was blurred and I could barely walk but the party was in full swing. At last, as a good measure I took 4 Oxycotin and sat down in a chair in the corner. I watched my friends party as I closed my eyes for what I thought to be the last time. I welcomed death. I was ready.
