I sat at our table staring at my food. I stared at it for such a long time that when I touched it, it was cold. I frowned at my food. Wait! Why should I be feeling this way?! It's her fault! I slammed my fists on the table. Everything shook. The whole diner stared at me. I quickly looked for napkins, knocking over some spoons and forks. I grabbed the napkins, and let them soak up the split soda. I picked up the soggy napkins with the tips of my fingers. I threw them in the trash and headed back to the table. I didn't even bother to sit back down. I pulled out my wallet and left a $20. I also put down another $5 as a tip. I grabbed my bag and left the diner quickly. I pulled out my phone and checked it. It said 7:50am. SHIT! I'm gunna be late for school! I ran as fast as I could down the block. I hooked a right and ran to the front doors. I saw Kellin waiting at the doors for me.
"Hurry up!" He shouted.
"Don't rush me!" I shouted almost tripping.
I grabbed his hand and he pulled me in quickly.
"Thanks." I said blowing at a strand of my hair.
"Here. Let me get it." He said putting it behind my ear.
"Thanks. Again." I said laughing.
I looked at the clock. Class started in about 5 mins.
"We got to get to class." I said hitching my backpack higher on my shoulder.
"Alright." He said kicking his locker open.
He pulled out his and my books. Then, he kicked the locker shut again. I heard a loud click of heels behind me.
"Hello Samantha." The voice said.
I already knew who it was. I turned to see Stacy. We used to be best friends. That's why I felt bad at the diner. It was her fault.
*2 years before*
"Stacy! Guess what! Guess what!" I shouted, practically jumping out of my skin with excitement.
"What?" She said laughing.
"Kellin just asked me out!" I said squealing.
"B-but-"
"But what? Aren't you happy for me?" I asked.
"No. No I'm not. You knew I liked him Sam! How could you?!" She started screaming like a maniac.
"B-but Stacy. He doesn't-"
"Shut up Sam! You always have things your way! You always take things from me! You're such a...a...a BITCH!" She screamed at me.
I didn't say anything.
"You will NEVER take anything from me EVER again." She said walking away.
*Present*
"Hello, Stacy." I said with a sneer.
"I hope you are having a great life with Kellin." She said smiling innocently.
What is she up to? I narrowed my eyes.
"I am." I said calmly.
"Good." She started to walk, but stopped next to my shoulder.
"'Cause I'm about to ruin it." She whispered with a snarl.
She brushed her shoulder against mine. I ignored it and turned my attention toward Kellin. He gave me a worried look.
"We got to get to class." I said ignoring his look.
He raised his eyebrow, but didn't say anything. We walked to class pretty quickly. I walked to the back of the classroom and sat in my chair. He pulled out the desk chair to my left and sat down. As we waited for the bell to ring, we talked.
