"Hey handsome." Edward jerked toward the right as a voice from his left startled him.
Kady stood next to him, her bag thrown over her shoulder and wide smirk on her pretty face. He was speechless, still shocked by everything that had just happened in the last few minutes. "I-"
She chuckled as the bell rang. "See you at lunch, Cullen." and with that she was walking away without a care in the world. As if what she had did never happened.
Edward wasted no time pulling out his phone and sending a text to Alice:
"You definitely aren't going to believe what just happen."

To say lunch was interesting would be an understatement. She had already purposely came to lunch late as a way to avoid Edward a little while but as soon as Kady walked in she was immediately greeted by the curious looks of other students who had heard the whispers of a new student but never really knowing what she looked like. With pursed lips and one eyebrow raised she cocked her hip out daring anyone to say something. Slowly the ones who had been staring began looking away and doing other things. For a moment, Kady didn't know what to do as she stared around the room.
"Kady!"
The tall brunette turned to see Bella waving at her from across the cafeteria causing a few to look at them. She was sitting with the Cullen's who all looked at her, each with different expressions. Edward's golden eyes met her blueish green ones and the smirk she sent him suddenly confirmed all the doubting he did in the last hour of which they had last met. His limbs being pinned to his side, forced to stay still in his seat as the other people around him were frozen still. With a tilt of her head she began walking in long strides over to their table.
Kady noted how they all sat with their own lunch trays though none of the food was eaten, she assumed it was for them to blend in. But how could they? With unnatural pale skin and beady gold eyes, it was by luck that they had made it this far. She stood a few paces behind Bella who gave her a soft smile, "Hey Kady, these are my friends, this is Alice, Rosalie and my boyfriend Edward. Emmett and Jasper aren't here today."
