It was one of those days for Shawn where he felt sadder than normal.
He could think of multiple reasons as to why he felt this way, but the number one reason was the heavy feeling in his heart that sunk at the distance away from Delilah.
His friends and team members had warned him that having a long distance relationship would be incredibly difficult as the time apart slowly would bring a couple apart. And they definitely had experienced that, but here they were together hopeful, and stronger.
He was so glad that Delilah understood his lifestyle, but sometimes he wished that she was curled up with him at some xhotel room or going on midnight rendezvous hours before he had to be productive.
Shawn snapped out of his thoughts and shook his weariness away, as he walked onto the stage he smiled at the crowd. The screams reminded him that these people were the reason he was here, they were the reason he got to live his dreams, and they were the reason he met Delilah.
It was that thought that made him ignore his sadness and perform his entire heart out for them, his people.

"Jesus Christ I hate airports" Delilah muttered under her breath. She forgot how absolutely idiotic international flying is, mainly when it wasn't a few hours but an entire day.
There were a few stops in between which made it stretch longer than a day, but still here she stood at her gate wondering how the hell she pulled off lying to Shawn for an entire day.
But then again Delilah has been lying to him for a few weeks since she did tell him she was going to visit his family, but she kept telling herself it was for the greater good.
Shawn's family knew what was really going on and even though the Mendes family was upset she wasn't coming to them, they still kept the secret from him.
Mike and Andrew were the real masterminds behind all this. If it weren't for them she would have booked a flight to the wrong country, but they cared about Shawn far more than they let on and wanted to really see a genuine smile on the kids face.
And Delilah was starting to grow on both of them, with her awkwardness and how absolutely kind she was funny, her personality was one that everyone wished they had.
"Where are you-I swear you aren't in fro-oh I see you" Delilah looked up and saw Andrew waving his hand outside a dark car. "Well at least come out and show me some love!"
Even though Delilah was joking, Andrew sighed and hung up the phone and opened his car to a grinning Delilah standing a few feet away.
"How's my favorite New Yorker?" Andrew gave the girl a hug, laughing when she hit his back lightly.
"I think you mean your favorite, period" Delilah teased, before letting go of Andrew to let him open the trunk. "I missed you Androp it's been a while"
"God Lilah I thought you were kidding when you said you were gonna call me that now," he rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses and opened the trunk door. He was going to grab Delilah's bag but she had beat him to it and lifted it up and shoved it into the trunk with little struggle. "Well damn D, I didn't realize you became the Hulk in a few months"
"I didn't realize you became a nighttime sunglass wearing d-bag, but I guess it's a night of surprises" Delilah smirked before walking to the passenger side of the door.
"Touché" Andrew nodded to her, before they both erupted into a fit of giggles.
It might have been thirty seconds or thirty minutes before they finally stopped laughing and Andrew finally pulled out of the parking space.
