I ran down the hill as fast as I could. Jumping over every obstacle getting in my way. The cold wind brushing up against my face. I stop at the green gate and kick it open. Directly in front of me was the big red door. I walked to the door slowly and put my hand on the handle. The coldness of the handle gave me the chills. I pulled the door open and ran inside. The doors to the studio was steps away. I ran in and looked at ever object in the room.
To my left, was the stand with random things on the bottom and the stero was on top. I slowly walked over and plugged my ipod in and put it on shuffle. The music played as I stretched my self out. I drowned ever sound out and only listened to the lyrics.
If you ever leave me baby, leave some morphine at my door.
I got up and changed the song so i could sing along. "The Day I Left The Womb" by Falling In Reverse" was chosen.
Mother, where are you today? You took a piece of me the day you went away. No recalection or the smell of you perfume. I took a piece of you the day I left the womb.
My feet seemed to take control and flow to the beat of the music. I couldn't help but throw in some hand springs and cartwheels into the choreography. It just seemed to fit in with the song. It took me a while to notice that the music had been shut off.
"Hey you are really early today," my teacher looked at me and smiled.
"I know, I'm sorry. Toda wasn't the best day I've had. I got teased and pushed down the halls. I held back all the anger. I seem to be getting better at it."
"It seems like when you dance, all those bad thoughts go away. Like your releasing all your anger in your steps."
"I try to, even at home too. When I get too upset, I listen to my music on my ipod and dance around my room."
"That's fantastic. I'm glad you like dancing so much. And it really shows when you perform here." She smiled and grabbed her clothes out of her bag.
"I love dancing so much. I feel like it could be my knight in shinning armor. It also helps me make the better decisions in life."
"Amanda I'm really proud of you this year. You have improved so much. Well I'm going to go change so we can get started."
She walked out and turned the music on. The beat of the music and the timing of my steps went together like peanut and jelly.
