"Mum, I really think I have potential!"I pleaded, down on my knees, and shaking my mom's hand for approval.
"No means no, young lady."She stated "I thought you're a feminist? Can't you differ a Yes from No?"She pushed my hand away and walked pass me.
I grumbled in disappointment. I really wanna be with Tessa. I frowned, like a 5 year old asking for candy from her mother, a tantrum is the only thing missing.
"You're the headmistress of Redhunds, Why can't you enroll your own daughter in it?"I followed her to her room on my knees, refusing to get up.
"Stand up. That is not very lady-like"I responded with an eyeroll. "C'mon, mum!"
"Fine,"I got up and ready to rejoice until she started opening her mouth, again. "In one condition"
Crap. I know where this is leading to. And I know my answer will be no
I looked at mum for a second and let out a heavy sigh. I closed my eyes as I contemplate if this is really worth it for Tessa. Yes, yes, it is. For Tessa. "what?"I asked with no interest at all for I know where this conversation is going.
"You will be studying Law" I knew it.
"But I hate Law. I hate people. I hate argu-"
"No Redhunds, then."She ended the conversation in a snap. Why must she be in authority? despite the fact that she gave birth to me and all that crap.
I ended up accepting her condition. It's stupid. Tessa's building and mine are too far from eachother.
But we do share the same bedroom.
"Roomie!"Tessa was waiting by the door for my arrival. She opened her arms to hug me. I was too exhausted from carrying 3 bags and a luggage to return her hug. She then hugged me tightly, which made me suffocate. "Cool,"I said, trying to pat her back. "Help me first?"
"Oh yeah, sure"
"Let's grab pizza, first. I'll help you unpack later"She took off the grip of my hand on the strap of my bag. "but I just wanna get some rest"I whined.
As we were close to the door on some pizza place, she leaned over, and whispered "my treat" it gave me chills.
The tiny bell rang after we went inside. "welcome" One of the workers greeted us with his eyes screaming death.
We sat by the window, on a red leathered chair. it's set up is like an american retro diner. we sat on the opposites of the table.
"May I get your order?"A girl with a small notebook and pen ready to list down our orders, suddenly popped up. She has a light-looking skin, hair dyed deeply in black, formed into two ponytails, and falling both edges down her back. She's wearing a buttoned up pink tee, a tight black skirt which exposes her even lighter legs—It's pale, with her tainted white apron tied behind her waist, And a beige colored converse. Whoa, her shoe size is small quite adorable. Is she a student here? She seems young. She seems to be about 5'4 ft tall. I quickly looked back at the top and see her looking at Tessa as she list down orders. Her eyelashes are long, crooked teeth, freckles on her chin and up upon her cheeks. A small rounded nose, thick-looking lips, and thin bushy brows
"adorable"I mumbled.
She took notice of my staring, I immediately looked away and reached for my phone to distract me from my foolishness. I heard a silent chuckle and she, then proceeded to get our order. I peaked as she was going out her way.
"What was that?" I looked over at Tessa, who's trying not to laugh. I can't help but smile. "What was what?"I questioned.
"You were totally checking her out!"
"I was not"I denied "Yes, you were! You were drooling over her!
"Please, speak louder. I dont believe the people around can't hear you enough."
''Wow"She pressed her back against the chair and shook her head. "You, tiny little devil. You better ask her out"She stated"And risk my mom finding out I'm queer?"I raised an eyebrow. She rolled her eyes.
"Here she comes"she said with full of enthusiasm. "Shh"I hushed her up but still can't stop myself from smiling.
Her hand passed me. She has a ring. She smiled at me. "Enjoy eating"She straightened her posture and continued her job.
"We aren't leaving unless you ask her out"She took a bite from the pizza. "What? no"
"She seemed to have a strong personality, which made me intrigued. that's all."I stated, which is actual truth. She seems like a cool person. A person I want to be friends with. "Fine"
"But I'm keeping my eyes on you"She said cheekily.
