Jeonghan stopped by the door, hand pressed pale and clutching the steel length. Rain fell like frizzles outside, and the sound was muted by the long stretch of windows and his own deafening heartbeat. The man was staring back at him, anger evident upon his expression, and lips already curling to spew back words of contempt and distaste.
"Stop it, Seungcheol," he whispered, almost too softly that he didn't recognize his own voice.
"There you go again," Seungcheol hissed, face twisting into a horrid smirk, "Always controlling. Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?"
"Your-"
"You know what? Don't fucking answer that. I'll make sure that you don't have an answer to that."
"What do you-"
"Shut up! Shut the fuck up! Everyday I resist the urge to beat the shit out of you or grab your pretty little neck into a chokehold that you wouldn't dare break out of. You're fucking lucky for your face - that you look like a damn woman."
"Don't leave," Jeonghan said simply, and he wondered if the blankness in his eyes mirrored the bleak weather outside.
Seungcheol let out a sound like a choked laugh.
"Goodbye Jeonghan. I hope I never see you again after we're legally separated. And please don't ever get your hopes up. You're nothing more than a pretty face - beneath it you're a cold calculating whore, a controlling maniac, and one of the worsts persons I've come to know in life. I would wonder as to why I married you, but then I would have reiterated my point of you being a whore - at least fucking you was good."
Seungcheol gave a final smile. His departure was an echo- the silence rang through the room in over abundance. Jeonghan was left standing, by the same doorway in which he and Seungcheol had passed through many times together.
His normally cold façade dropped, and with lips trembling and figure that fumbled to move from its shocked position, he made it to his solace of his (their) bedroom, locked the door, and proceeded to rip everything apart (while trying his best not to cry).

Jeonghan smiled from afar at the other boy, watching with wide eyes to the way he laughed with the other students. His palm touched his chest and he shivered.
—
Seungcheol came a day when he wasn't home, and removed every trace of his existence. It was almost as — and it definitely seemed like — Seungcheol was never there.
