(This story is shown through Erin's perspective)

I remember the last time I saw Holtzmann, it was that very day that Rowan broke the barrier to the ghost world and the ghosts wreaked havoc on the world. We managed to defeat Rowan and save the world...but that was the same day we lost Holtzmann.

(The italics mean that the text stated is a flashback.)
"Ugh! Damn you pathetic ghost girls!" Rowan yelled as he was being sucked into the vortex. "That teaches you for messing with the cool kids!" Holtzmann yelled back. Rowan chuckled and replied with a devilish smile, "Ha, I guess you're the comedian of the group..." and then Rowan grabbed Holtzmann into the portal."...wE coUlD uSe a ComEdiAn lIKe yOU dOWn iN tHe GhoSt WORLD!!!!".
I tried to save her but I was too late, I remember her last words were; "please don't forget about me and stay strong, my friends...". Those words still haunt me to this day. Every time I walk past her lab table I start to cry because the silence just reminds me that Holtzmann isn't there. We tried to make a grave for her, it was just a rock with text reading; "R.I.P. Dr. Jillian Holtzmann". Patty was very heartbroken about Holtzmann's death, she didn't even come into work today because she was still mourning the loss of her dear friend. Abby was heartbroken as well, we all were saddened by the news. At least she's in a better place now.
