My Best Friend

Chapter 1

I tried to get up but as I did the just pushed me down again. I fumbled to grab my bag and as I did my sketch book fell out.

"Hey check this out the emo has a sketch book." He grabbed it up. before I could and opened it.

"GIVE THAT BACK!" I yelled not wanting him to see a certain part of it. I tried grabbing it out of his hands but it was no use he had my sketch book and there was no getting it back.

"Let's go." My bully called out to his buddies, before landing a punch on my nose. They walked away laughing leaving me crying with a bleeding nose

"Hey Zac." Someone called out to me. "You ok?"

"I-i'm fine." I sniffled and looked up and when I saw who it was I quickly looked away. It was Sean my best friend since 6th grade and the most popular jock in the school. Also my one and only crush. When he walked over to me my heart felt like it would jump out of my chest.

"You don't seem so fine." He knelt down and took a look at my nose.

"What was it about this time?" He looked into my eyes worried. I quickly looked away blushing hoping he wouldn't see it.

"I can't say."

"Why not." I could see genuine worry in his eyes.

"I-its about my crush." Was I really about to tell him about my crush on him?

"Who's that?" He asked very curious.

"Y-you." After I uttered that word I ran off my nose throbbing in pain. I didn't care about my nose at this point in time all I cared about was getting out of there before Sean could hate me.

"WAIT!" Sean called after me but it was to late I was already to far ahead to hear him. After ducking around a corner I realized I dropped my sketchbook near Sean.

"Fuck." I mumbled."I'll just leave it." I ran across the hall to the doors to get out of the school, but Sean was faster. He grabbed my wrist before I could make it out the door.

"We need to talk" he said panting. So he must've used a lot of energy to catch me.

"We do not need to talk Sean, I know that you're straight." I turned my head away not wanting to be rejected.

I pulled my arm out of his hand and ran off, this time Sean stayed back stunned.

I made it to my house and unlocked the door. I ran so far that my chest hurt when I got to my house, but I made it away from Sean. I walked in side of my house and walked to my room. Flopping down on my bed.

About an hour later I heard a knock on my bedroom door. Weird I thought my parents aren't supposed to be home for a while. I walked to the door and opened it, and the person standing outside was Sean.
